Morning all,
Yesterday was a lovely but busy day. All activities are being affected by the partial road closure of the main road into town and the back log of traffic standing still in my village as people try to avoid it. Glad I!!!8217;m away next week! It takes me an hour to go anywhere in that direction and at the moment I need to go once or twoce a day. Oh well, at least I!!!8217;m on holiday.
Hair cut today and then swim and a tip runDid a nice long dog walk yesterday after my swim and had friends round for a takeaway

It was a bit of a miserable day yesterday but we walked to the Health Centre, collected the prescriptions and got them from the chemist so a bit of a walk.
Went to Aldi to pick up a few needed bits and managed to get 4 pork loin joints for £1,00 each and a fair amount of half price fish so lots in the freezer now.
Himself is out today so lots of plans for cleaning and tidying. I never seem to get anything done when he's about.
Hope everyone has a lovely Easter break.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
NSD 16/18 here - cutting it very fine! Would need no spends for the next two days, hmmm... Since I already paid for hospital parking yesterday (£2) I also bought a yoga ball thing for £7.99 on Amazon, as suggested by physio (providing I'm very careful)DancingDragons/LavenderBee - do you have a link to the washable pads, I've looked into them but wasn't sure how reliable the ones I looked at were plus they were very expensive.
I think the ones that DancingDragons is looking at are the Bloom and Nora (or is it Nora and Bloom?) and they're made by TotsBots. I think they're on the website of the latter, but definitely on Amazon. They are pricey, I've been looking at some others too on Amazon that are cheaper. I look at Amazon reviews for everything, regardless of where I actually might buy something! They generally seem quite positive, it's more whether I can bring myself to do more washing on top of washing reusable nappies that's putting me off (but then perhaps it's a case of 'in for a penny, in for a pound'!). Some brands do 'trial packs', I may try one of these when I'm feeling brave, just a bit wary of spending some of the last of my own pennies before turning into SAHM (but equally it'd be something hubs doesn't have to buy for me!)0 -
Excited, just enrolled to the free introductory course in bookkeeping at the OU. That will hopefully give me enough motivation etc to save for the fees to do the full course in October.
Always wanted to do sth else, or further educate myself either as a fall back/second leg to stand on (especially if we ever move away from the big cities where I can do my current job) or as a precaution in case DH makes himself self-employed (he admits he'd be rubbish at bookkeeping and I don't trust someone else to do it).
Was toying with the idea of teacher training but I like my current job and need sth that I can fit around everything else.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Was a spend day. Did a very small food top up shop.
Grateful for:
Broke up from school for the Easter holidays.
Had a much better day at work.
Not been tempted to buy anything else when I did the top up food shop.
Used a money off voucher for teabags I brought.
Having a chilled out evening.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130 -
Today I am grateful for finding what I wanted in the £shop, for dd finally breaking up for Easter, for a really enjoyable revision session with my y11s, for sunshine this morning, for a decent brolly this afternoon, for sneaking in a third round on my kettlebell workout, for a catch up with a friend, for having April's challenge to look forward to.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
