  • Stunning wedding photos. Glad it all went well.

The pods idea sounds exciting. There is a field not far from us that have camping pods at intervals going down the side of the field. You really wouldn’t know they were there unless you took the public footpath through the field.

Hope DD enjoys the Falklands. I imagine you will miss her. I missed DS when he went to Oz - he's still home for now but would love to go back.

    Enjoy the barbecue...

Chaps been to see the lie of the land and has offered his suggestions.  Waiting for a map to be sent over as I can't visualise where he means so need to make sure we're singing off the same hymn sheet.

Had my appointment with the foot consultant, it was a different person this time.  Initially I didn't warm to her but came round.  I need to teach myself not to sleep on my front.  Spent last night rolling round and waking myself up when I went on my front.  Tired today but my foot is definitely less painful so need to persevere.  Also need different shoes, she kept saying my feet were very splayed (which they are) by the end felt like my feet were like Shreks!  Waiting for a catalogue to come for the new shoes and I'll have a perusal.  There's a factory outlet nearby so hopefully go and try some on.

Had a text to say the furniture has arrived for Skye house, got the week confirmed its likely to be delivered just need the day.  Guests have had problems with leaky showers but all been sorted now and new sealant applied.

Engagement ring picked up and its all lovely and sparkly.  It's our 29th wedding anniversary this month, not sure what we'll do.

Hi SH.  No the Skye house is still miss behaving.  Still damp in the bedroom and plumber going back out on Monday.  He may have to 'break in' to the pipe work through the bedroom.  He's happy to do that (if it is a leaky pipe) but I'll have to find a joiner to patch it up afterwards.  Sigh.  Its really annoying, especially when we are putting in anew en-suite in November.  Tried to contact the chap who was going to do that but got no response, getting a bit twitchy as there's still things we need to get and everything is in short supply.  We've had some fencing wire on order for 6 weeks and still no sign of it.  Time is marching on.

OH said he hasn't had chance to organise anything for our wedding anniversary (no surprise and I organised last year)  we are still really busy (which is good) so we might get a sneaky weekend away later on.

Played badminton with DD1 and her boyfriend, who is now living with us until his house purchase goes through.  OH wacked the back of my hand (by mistake) and it has come up in a lovely egg and probably very sore tomorrow.  At least we won the point and the golden oldies (us) won by 2 games to 1!

I moved some of DS1s savings into premium bonds as his interest rate on his ISA was so rubbish.  I think lots of people are doing the same.  DD1 has put her tax savings (she's self employed) into PB as well.
