In other even more exciting news our DD1 has turned up from New Zealand. Once again not telling us she was coming home, though I did have an inkling she might appear as somebody said something at Christmas but I didn't want to get my hopes up.

I've had 2 days off work and ready to go back. Poor DD1 was planning to surprise everyone at a ball she was going to that she was home but its been cancelled due to storm Dennis. Going out tomorrow night with some friends to the local Italian and got tickets booked to see Little Women. Said friends are lending DD1 a car while she's here, she's paying for the insurance. This saves us trying to source then either sell it SORN it when she goes. Weather is abysmal!!! Gin is starting trying to play which is amusing as she's so small compared to the others.
Crochet is going ok. DD1 has been having a go so its a bit like the blind leading the blind.
DS1 is coming for tea so I've got a chicken and broccoli bake out for tea.

Wind has really got going and typically nobody has filled the log bucket so it looks like muggins will have to do it. So whilst I'm wrapped up may as well take the pooches for a walk.
Went out with friends for a meal last night, really enjoyed it. They're going to come to Ladies Day at the races at the end of May. Down to me to organise the hotel. Our DS' have paid for 1 night for Christmas but we're hoping to go the night before as well. DD1 will get the car on Tuesday so that will be her up and mobile. Not much else to report.

Glad you are getting soe time with DD1. It has been very windy and rainy here all day too. A day for snuggling up at home. I have a niece in NZ and she seems to be having an amazing time - surrounded by beauty. Makes me want to visit.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I would be tempted to go for vinyl and get someone else to fit it. No point your DH doing it if he won't do it to the right standard.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The only thing with the vinyl is we hope to have some more puppies off our own dogs and worried if the underneath gets wet, we'll be in the same position.
Spent most of the day at the workshop and sorted out some more listings an Ebay and Amazon. Waiting for my Amazon account handler to call as I'm having a few issues and really need to get them resolved while we're quiet. Got 2 meetings tomorrow so need to get my backside on gear in the morning as the first ones between 8.30 and 9. The other is in the afternoon. It'll be nice having DD1 at home as she'll have the fire lit for when we get in. She starts her lambing job on Thursday and then it'll be back to normal, taking the dogs to work etc.
Still very windy out there and lots of water on the roads. Feel like hibernating for the rest of the week. Got another booking for the cottage for July so That's good. Changed the rates on air b&b to try and tempt somebody to book for March and April. Managed to book a room for 1 night when we go to the races, couldn't get 2. Let my friend sort the other night out as she's driving me daft over it. Could possibly regret inviting them.

Brizzle, it's just lovely. The whole atmosphere is lighter and she gets me motivated. Early start today as the accountant was coming and I hadn't got everything done. She's coming again next week.
DD1 came and picked me up as I went in with OH and we did the shopping. Came home and took all 3 dogs for a longer walk. Not had all 3 in the car together so was a bit worried about it but they were fine and enjoyed getting out. Gin spent most of the time tucked inside DD1s coat, occasionally poking her head out as she had FOMO!
Came home and made hunters chicken for tea and prepped beef buggeroff for tomorrow and DD1 has made 2 apple and blackberry crumbles, yum!!
