OH and DS2 are away this weekend so I’m all by mystic as DD1 is at a hen party. Yesterday I met up with a friend and we went to the large home bargains and I managed to get the last of the compost for the blueberry plant, more wooden hangers, a washing machine deep cleaner thingy
(which I’ve used) and a couple of storage boxes with lids. We also went to the garden centre but only got a mooch and had lunch. I haven’t had the tv on all weekend and it’s been bliss. OH puts it on Willy nilly and it drives me nuts. Finished 1 book and started another. Took the hounds out and hit 12k in steps. Had Pringles for tea. Not much planned today might wash the dogs garage beds (they go in if they’re very wet). I perhaps should’ve waited to deep clean the washing machine after I’d done the beds. A dog walk with the neighbour and a bit of meal prep.

We have decided on a moving date of 26th June. OH has got the moving van booked, they’re going to load up on the Friday and move it on Monday.

I’ve been and had a manicure, pedicure and eyelash tint and today I get my hair done. On Sunday we’re off to the races and it’s ladies day. We’ve booked Sunday night to stay in a hotel.

Last night we went out for an Indian with a couple who regularly call into the shop and wanted to wish us well. They were lovely and told us lots of stories and how they met. The chap had worked at the Ritz and became good friends with Jackie Onassis. His wife went to Australia on one of the £10 tickets, which was where they’d met.

This week we’re going to Skye on Thursday and back on Sunday. We bought a boat so are going to fill that up with stuff out the garage. I’m taking up the carpet washer, there are some beds that need moving around and I can get the carpets washed before our stuff lands. Have got dog sitting issues, they are all sorted bar the Saturday. The chaps are at the young farmers rally and I hadn’t twigged they were staying out overnight. The local kennels are full. If the worst comes they’ll have to come with us but means we can’t fill the pick up as much.

We went down and met stepdad. He gave us a painting which mum wanted us to have (it’s hideous). He also gave me 2 boxes of photos and other paperwork which I spent time going through yesterday. I did get a bit upset but I’m ok now. Going to the house, it was like they were never married or had a life together. Any sign mum was ever there has been erased. All the photos of the grandchildren (my sisters as well) have been returned. I really do think I’m done with him. Asked briefly and I mean very briefly how the children were doing. Told him we were grandparents and didn’t even ask to see a picture or her name. It was back to him and how poorly (why do people tell you their ailments?) he’s been how wonderful his son and granddaughter are. We couldn’t wait to leave. So I do feel very discombobulated!

    Enough moaning.

That sounds pretty traumatic Lucielle. Not surprised you were reluctant to see him. Sending love and peace your way.

Late to the party here but it’s really really easy to thread your own lip / chin - would never dare do eyebrows as it could go so wrong - but lip and chin are fare game ! If you google it you can see videos on how to do it
