Thanks EH and SH. Stepdad made contact over a month ago and I’ve been mulling it over ever since. Depending what happens this week I’ll contact him and possibly call in on Friday. We’ll see.

Work has been quite laborious today and glad to see the clock hands hit 5. Played badminton tonight with the new people. Probably be a bit achey in the morning.

Sorry to give that impression SH, I'm a large hefferlump!!  I don't like to admit defeat (especially where Pringles are concerned) so go and give it my all when playing badminton.  Especially now I'm office based I really don't move very much.  DD1 and I have both got up at 6 the last couple of mornings to get the dogs out before work.  Not sure how keen I'll be when its raining.  Took them all to the beach last night.  This morning the kitchen floor resembled the Sahara desert.

Had to go in and help OH at the workshop.  I went to get some parts and dropped them to find that the bolts weren't in.  OH asked me to go back again and I politely declined.  There was other stuff I needed to do at the workshop whilst he went.  Have a big meeting tomorrow regarding the shop so need to be up to speed.

Best of luck with the meeting.

I think you under-estimate your fitness and stamina. You certainly achieve a lot when you need to.

Don't conflate body size and fitness L - the two things can be very much "stand alone"!

I am a big girl EH but very stubborn with it just not stubborn enough to lose it and keep it off!  Busy weekend ahead, a quick up and down to Skye Saturday/Sunday with another load of workshop stuff.  Back to workshop on Monday to sort internet sales out.

Just been into town to sort out my phone, I upgraded a couple of weeks ago and my Spotify account didn't do what it was supposed to.  When I was in the big town I went into Vodafone shop and grumpy assistant said she'd sorted it she hadn't. 2 phone calls to customer services last night didn't sort it.  Called into small town and didn't leave until the shop assistant and customers services got me back up and running.  Quick mooch in the mahoosive Home Bargains but only bought what I went in for.  Talked myself out of going to local cafe for a prawn baguette and cooked scrambled eggs and mushrooms instead.  Going to wash up prep veggies for tea, then off for a nanna nap as I'm exhausted.

Well today has been a funny bittersweet kind of day. Today saw us hand over the reins of our business to new owners, which is why I've been a bit quiet recently. I thought I'd feel euphoric, ecstatic and relieved etc Instead I feel withdrawn and invaded, as if my kingdom has had its drawbridge broken down and now we have been usurped. Don't get me wrong it couldn't have turned out better for us but it is very strange seeing other people on 'my' side of the counter on 'my' desk

This was one of the reasons for the mad dash up north as we only had the trailer until yesterday. Though the new peeps did say we could use it if we needed to. We're contracted to hand over until 20th June and then they're on their own. It does mean we aren't going to get chance to get a short trip abroad in before we start our new jobs. I'll be working 2 days for my current company and the rest of the time filling in as and when needed at the guest house. OH has his job at the famous whiskey distillery, so that should keep us out of mischief.
In other news we've paid a deposit on a boat, which needs collecting from Devon. I'm hoping DS1 will go with OH as he can help with the driving and towing it back. Still need to talk to a friend to see if we can keep it in his yard till we can shift it to Skye.
We're on grandparent duty this weekend, overnight as well! I think it'll take me all week to recover!
