Absolutely awful night’s sleep. I’m out with my boss on site visits today. I’m a terrible passenger and usually fall asleep within minutes, fingers crossed I don’t do that today and end up snoring and drooling!!
DD2 treated me to a Sunday lunch at a pub we haven’t been to before. It was ok. DD1 got me some choccies and both DS’ managed a message.DD1 is wanting to plant some veg in the borders. The soil is really rubbish with the house being a new build. She’s bringing home bags of cow muck to put down and will probably have that done by the end of the week. I’m wondering if she should put some top soil on or compost, once it’s rotted down a bit. Any thoughts from you gardening gurus?
Grandma duties went well. My car sat nav takes me a different route every time which is a bit frustrating. I did a lot of batch cooking to fill the freezer, as I’m not very good at sitting and doing nothing. Can’t wait for the better weather, when I can take her out for a push in the pram.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Great news about your OH’s job.
Re the garden, I would mix compost in with the manure. Some manure can be very strong and end up “burning “ the plants. Chicken manure is a good example…it has to be well rotted before applying to growing areas. You also want to get a fairly fine tilth when planting small
plants…manure can be quite clumpy, so I would mix with compost.

The manure isn’t very well rotted, so good points made HSL! I’ve had a great day today. I’ve been out and visited 3 sites and fingers crossed I’ve got site signed up to have PV panels installed. Potentially looking at some more of the newer sites further down the line.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Sounds like a good day with the site visits then L!
When we used to use manure at the allotment we used to dig deep, dig in the manure and then refill the trench adding compost to the top layer. That meant by the time the roots got down to the compost it had rotted down a bit more, and it seemed in our heavy soil to be very effective at improving he soil right down. Heavy soil can also be massively improved in my experience by planting tatties - they do a lovely job of breaking it up!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Going to be a busy weekend in the workshop and potentially lucrative but can’t say anymore at the moment. Some little toe tag has keyed the pick up, really !!!!!! off about that. It got pranged a few months ago overnight, nothing major a scuff mark on it but nobody contacted us to take accountability. Sigh!
DD1 and I went to a new home bargains shop and had a bit of a spendy time. She bought a lemon tree, herbs and compost and I treated her to 2 nice pots. Whilst we were out and about she updated her phone. We’ll have to go back to the phone shop as some of the info hasn’t downloaded properly. Mine and OHs are due for renewal at the beginning of April.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Just bought some heating oil for Skye house £793.25 including VAT, which is just over £100 per month since it was last filled. I'll need to adjust my pots for when we move. Currently I don't have an oil pot as it just comes out of the Skye account, which is ok for now as it funds itself through bookings but that's going to stop. I have done some back of the envelope calculations as to what our future costs could be but its all a bit finger in the wind. I've asked the assessor to assess the house for June ready to pay council tax as I've no idea how much that will be and fuel costs will be high but again not a clue.

That’s a good idea EH but the only people I know have different properties to mine.My current work keep mentioning working from home in Skye but not giving any details. I’m happy to carry on with them and fill in with my new job. Because of the timing my new job will be on an as and when they need me basis until next year when they’ll have a better idea about me and me themI’m sure it’ll all be ok. Really tired today, lots of stuff going on with the business which is taking a lot of my time and brain. Didn’t get to sleep until after midnight last night and feel like I haven’t really woken up today. Both decided to give badminton a miss tonight and just had some time out.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013
