Survived the emails only to be thrown in at the deep end and get ready for a meeting tomorrow with hardly any notice. I will get through this.

Got in early and managed to get through the meeting ok. Looking forward to bedtime!  Got my docs appointment tomorrow for my jab and need to get the BP monitor for OH. Calling in at the accountants as well and then taking le mutts for a walk. Need to assess the fridge to see what needs using up.

  • I've been on a using things up kick here too L - just need to make some headway on the large collection of various things in jars that are lurking there, now! (especially that wretched  red thai curry paste which is still hanging about - the problem is it's super spicy so only gets used a teaspoon at a time!)

    Glad the meeting was OK!

Lots of things used up and some things frozen before they went out of date as the menu plan went a bit awry this week.  It does mean I have the ingredients for some meals next week.
Had my hair done, so feeling a bit happier now the runway down the middle has gone!  Took DD1s car as one of her tyres wasn't right so got that fixed whilst she had mine.  Dogs are getting theirs done tomorrow and then in the afternoon baby shower (so American and dreading it) so need to go to that.  DD1 said she'd drive, so that's a win.

Sunday got a flight round the county that was a b'day pressie and then afternoon tea.  OH has slightly messed plans up as he's going to DS1s and staying over but didn't think to check the calendar.  He's going to meet me at the afternoon tea place, a shame as I was hoping to sneak in a cheeky prosecco but we're both driving.

We're trying to get a long weekend up north as we need to take a trailer full of stuff up but fitting it in is difficult.  I'm sure we'll sort something.

DS1 is in a right pickle regarding funds or lack of.  He thought he was getting paid this week but it isn't till the 3rd.  His DDs come out on the first and his account is -£9.  It looks like bank of mum and dad, plus emergency shopping and dog food.  I'm not very happy about this as he went on holiday in January and literally emptied all his pots and had a bit of a sod it attitude.  However the deed has been done but it will be paid back.

  • Ooh how lovely to go on a flight like that - fabulous! Friends of mine did the flying boat on (I think) Loch Lomond a while ago and said that was amazing!
