DAL I did make an effort when they were younger and wanted it to be ‘ perfect’. I know there’s no such thing but I think I’ve gone the opposite and really can’t be bothered. In an effort to try and get festive we went to see some Christmas lights

  • Pretty.

I love Xmas, but I have found that no one else really cares about the traditional stuff I love, so a lot of it has fallen by the wayside over the years. Which makes Xmas feel somewhat flat to me now.

  • Oh those lights are lovely! Absolutely with you on the grrr about that card though - how annoying!

I can't quite get my head around christmas being so soon - which is a bit of a worry!

I have a new house guest. DD1s BF found it running across the playing field at dinner time. Weighs in at 490g so too small to make it through the winter. I’m dropping her/him off at the hedgehog place later on. It means I can hand deliver some Christmas cards that I didn’t get chance to do and go with a friend on a dog walk.
We got all the veggies prepared yesterday so that’s another job off the list. I’ve finished crocheting the squares for the blanket and will take them with me when we go to Skye to join up.

OH is staying at DS1 as a group of them have gone to watch rugby. DD1 and I went for a curry, a quick drink in the local then started to watch His Dark Materials. We had planned to put a face mask on but neither of us could be bothered. Need to push the indoor lawnmower round aka hoover and that should be it for cleaning. Last few bits and bobs wrapped and that’s me finished.
Hair looks fab and the skunk look has been banished for a while.
