Thanks very much for your assistance.

My wife is really struggling with nerves and understanding to convey the case i have been building for her.

Am I able to represent her on the day (with her present). If not , where should we turn to for a lay representative? We only have 20 or so days until the court date.

Yes of course (she must attend though). As her Lay Rep taking the documents that the Parking Prankster talks about in his blog about being a lay rep, to show the Usher.

LOL, certainly NOT to any ''parking appeals' firm. DO NOT START LOOKING, or of you do, just pop their company name in TrustPilot and prepare to be horrified.

It horrifies me. Such people should be ashamed.

Also do a Google search on 'McKenzie Friend', which is a different level of assistance a third party can provide to a defendant, although not one I guess you'd want to be restricted to. But it would be helpful just to brief yourself up on MF v LR (Google Lay Rep too for completeness), as recently one Judge (seemingly erroneously) allowed only MF representation, despite LR being requested.

Don't be caught out by a (admittedly, unlikely) curveball on the day.

Thank you. You are incredibly generous with your time. So do we need to fill in any forms, sign anything? Pre-notify our court?

I have spoken to the court many times, but there seems to be an astonishing lack of knowledge. One of them told me i might have to pay £100 pounds but "they don't know". Other information i found said that without being legally trained I cannot represent her.

So is it a simple case of just turning up armed with the correct information? I can certainly do that.

You just notify the Usher on arrival at the court, and ask whether he/she could let the Judge know before you enter the Judge's room and the case commences.

Yes, I did tell you to read the PP's blog about it. Tells you all about what to take.

Apologies. I will have a good read tonight. Don't mean to ask silly questions. Head is overloaded with a mix of small claims legislation, various laws, and then a load of new medical information. A lot to process.

    That video was excellent.

I have a question that i keep calling the court to ask but finding it impossible to make contact.

So my wifes name and address have changed, and now live at the location. How do i convey this on the witness statement, evidence bundle and so on? Do i just change it from "Between UKPC Ltd and Mrs X" to "Mrs Y"?

Since the defence was filed a long time ago now, her name and address no longer matches.I have only until wednesday for my documents to have been received. Running out of time and still plenty to do.

I'd leave the opening header of the WS as "Between UKPC Ltd and Mrs X", but then in your opening paragraph put 'Information note to the Court and Claimant - with effect from (date), Mrs X, following marriage, is now Mrs Y and now resides at (new address).'
