Unless they are on the ball fully, it's possible that the claimant didn't apply for judgement as soon as they were able to.
If your defence arrives prior to their request for judgement then you trump them!
(Though if they already applied then they will get a ccj by default0 -
So I just called them. The lady assured me the email would be processed same day and MCOL will be updated.0

It shoudl be. As you were told, they cannot aply for a default until AFTER the deadline has passed, so they only hd ONE day to do this.
Now your defence is in, any request for default NOW will be invali, as the request arrived AFTER your defence.0
