If the shop doesn't help , then you can go back to your way of doing things . I drive , but as I have said before the toilet roll saga is one I dislike. Strangely enough when I go to the lakes the supermarket there always seems to have my best brand reduced so I come home with loads.

    Have a great day.

I don't drive and live alone and totally get the loo roll thing. I do an internet shop some months for that reason and I stock pile loo roll! If I go below 16 rolls I feel panicked. Haha. Crazy but true.

I have found getting stuff delivered helps with the stress of doing too much. I hate looking like a bag lady whilst I trudge home with bags from work too. I still shop but I am only getting fresh stuff or things I have run out of (and even that is loads)

    Enjoy your internet shop :)

Two person household, no cars so understand the loo roll thing too!

We have 1 Iceland and 1 Tesco delivery every 4-6 weeks each.

Stock up on freezer food, cupboard, loo rolls, margarine etc and any fresh items we normally buy.

Then an average of once a week do a small top up in-store for fresh items like milk, bread, veg & fruit.

Usually Iceland and local market; Sainsbury's if I have a nectar offer or Lidl but that needs a special trip so usually every 6 weeks or so :)

Hi Plutonimics - have you got a diary organised- might help you gather your thoughts. and hello everyone.

Maybe home delivery is the way forward. My parents would take me to the supermarket for a big shop but then I end up adding in all sorts of junk because I'm there and have lift home but this way is easier to be sensible and can get months of loo roll.

    Spends
    2x Cofffee £5.50

Going out tomorrow but will need to keep an eye on costs. Then hopefully a quiet weekend.

Yesterday was a bit spendy on social but it's done now and haven't gone out in ages.
There is a bit of me that would rather have spent the money on a food shop or some clothes. But I am massively reducing the social overall but some days are pricey.

Yesterday was worn out from drinking too much the night before.
    Spends £5 takeaway

Need to go to Lidl today and maybe meet friend for a coffee.

I wouldn't mind if this marks the end of heavy drinking days in london.
Sometimes I'm not sure how life became so heavily swayed towards going out. I've been home loads recently and really enjoying being in my flat and watching films and cooking and spending time with my pet and playing music.

I just need to change jobs and then a lot of the social invites from work will disappear. And can concentrate on the things that I want to do and can afford.

I'm so over working in London. All the pretence And the arrogance. And the spending.

Just need to get myself back to basics and not spending these ridiculous amounts of money on nothing. (Which is what I was doing until Thursday!). So need to learn and keep going.

    NSD today

Stuck to the food plan and didn't spend anything. Haven't been anywhere.

Need to buy some hoover bags and hoping hoover will last as-is until May. But like to stock up and goes against the grain using the last of something without stocking up and being ready for when it's needed.

    No plans tomorrow.
    Bring lunch to work.
Then home. No spends. Early night.
Dinner defrosting ready to eat tomorrow.
Bills go out 8 days time.

How much do the bags cost?

It might work out cheaper in the long run to get an inexpensive bagless.

I have a semi longhair cat and the £40 Dirt Devil we got last year is amazingly good!
