Afternoon all,
Oh Holly what a frightening experience. I hope you are able to contact your friend soon. Many hugs.
Day two of Childcare for Livewire. Thankfully he's happy to entertain himself today as he wore me out yesterday.:D. He reminds me so much of his Mummy, the good bits anyway. The not so good must come from his Dad.;)
Prodigal popped in this morning. He is ok.
All is well.
Onwards and forwards
Have a great day allThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Holly love you are not being self indulgent how dare they  I don't know a huge amount about sectioning but surely if your doctor has said this week that you are of sound mind then that as a medical opinion must count. Hoping your GP who knows you the best can have this decision reversed. I will be thinking about you my friend please let us know how you get on x0

Afternoon all, I see the thread is very busy today.
I had another bad night as I had to sleep sitting up again, I now have rhinitis and post nasal drip as a result of this virus, so I had about 4hrs kip
I was going to have a rant about Mr Fix It's appointment being cancelled this morning but it has been re-booked for next Wed, so another week of worrying. However in light of Holly's posts, our problems are insignificant.
We did however decide to go out for lunch at our favourite garden centre and Mr Fix It bought me a pair of gardening clogs, only because I usually put on his and then I moan that they're too big. We also bought Dad an interior windscreen mop, at less than half price and some mouse killer as the cats haven't been doing a very good job of bouncing them out of our shed :rotfl:. They are only field mice but I don't want them in the house again . That's the only downside of living half way up a mountain and one road away from the fields.
HollyH I can't offer any suggestions only lots of love, hugs and virtual support. I hope everything turns out in your favour.
Snoozer I'm another one who has a really bad memory, especially for dates and places. But I do have a wealth of useless information going around in my brain. I'm more concerned about Mr Fix It as he has been quite forgetful recently and seems to be asking the same question 3 times over. I don't know if it's because of his medication or the onset of dementia. His Mum went the same way
. So we decided to put everything on the computer calendar and as our media devices including phones are synced, all the important dates are flagged up. Drives me bonkers when they are all going off together, but at least we have no excuse about forgetting now.
Speky good luck with the interview.
TA :j to the win. Hope Mr TA's injection appointment goes as planned.
Dumpling many hugs.
Poppy hope your appointment goes well. Offering virtual support.
Gers I hope the DR can get to the bottom of your DM's falls soon.
Nelski As if I would deal in knock off goods.. P.S. What's on offer this week ?. I'd like to be a fence too but with perks :rotfl:.
Sending healing vibes to the poorlies and hugs to all in need. Will dig out the Sandman again for the sleepless too.
P.S. I'm still having some problems with the site as it knocked me off when I tried to submit reply and wouldn't let me log on. It kept saying that I'm still logged in . Good thinking on my part as I had copied my post before hitting submit !Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
HOLLY I really don't know what to say. I don't wonder you feel alone and scared. I hope your brother is able to be with you and support you whatever the outcome. I really hope the decision is reversed. You are among friends here and I am sure every one of us is sending you virtual support to help you through this xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
