I have seen flats advertised to let with the restrictions of No Drinking. Is this legal?

Blimey - I'd dehydrate in a matter of hours... I suppose I could quaff cucumber, would that be allowed?

Who are "us"?!?! Anyone would think you were referring to white British Christians and you have the cheek to accuse the LL of being racist!
One can't tell people they can't lead their own lifestyle in their own country -

I think you'll find that most governments, including our own, do that every single day.
But Islam (with or without drinking) is not our way of life

Who are you referring to as "our"?!? Islam is the second largest religion in the UK...
Every generation blames the one before...

I know Muslims who drink. Some drink beer and wine but draw the line at spirits whilst others enjoy a good single malt. Yes consuming anything that causes intoxication is haram but not everyone follows their religion to the letter.

Most of the male moslems I worked with over the years not only drank spirits but gloried in doing so. They still went to mosque every Friday and sat in the canteen not eating and reading the Quran during Ramadan. I remember one telling me vodka was the best thing ever invented. Put me in mind of that quote of Charles Mingus' saying the same thing about heroin, "If God made anything better, he kept it to himself."

I’m sure you will find Christians who covet their neighbour’s !!! if you look for them or Jews who enjoy bacon sandwiches.
