Oh poo, just nipped to Sainsbob and I don't go there often.Wanted wholemeal flour to make chappatis. Also bought 3 pizza base mix (there's is best imo) 7 tins of their basics sweetcorn and 3 sticky toffee puds. Oh and some yeast as I'm going to get the breadmaker out of the cupboard.

Another £11.25 gone but I might not actually need to shop next weekend.

    Total £273.85 so £26.15 left

My A$da order turned up with a 2kg bag of oats for the same price as the 500g bag - 65p - thank you very much  Had a bit of a result on the Tassim0 coffee as I popped into store to swap it and had a refund, so bought 3 for £10. Result for savings but had to dig deep into my personal account. Roll on pay day :rotfl:

Forgot the milk so back again this afternoon on the way home and was too late to put the stew on so bought some loin chops and apple sauce as well. Haven't kept the greatest track on my food cash card, so decided to use my buffer card.

Not the best at keeping track this month, but I've done so much better with the budget, thanks to signing up here. And I've got loads more in the cupboards as well. Shouldn't have anymore spends before payday now. :T

Hi all, another NSD for me today.
Has anyone used Sainsbobs for online shopping, would you recommend? I've got a new customer voucher code, thinking about using it to start April's budget.

Took my friend to market yesterday, she wanted thick cut bacon for her D.I.L. who is visiting over Easter, apparently unavailable in London. No meat stall, there was only about 6 stalls, and day was reasonable weather wise. Apparently after inquiring he hasn`t been for years, Saturday market dying, Tuesday better, I am culpable too, haven`t been in market for years. I did buy a tin of Hammerite and some cling film.

So I suggested a run to Llansamlett as I knew of a meat place that used to sell thick bacon in the big packs she wanted, found the butcher, he had moved, I bought some nice looking pork chops, and some turkey wings for the dog, £9. My friend brought home the bacon.
Do I need it or just want it.
  • Coming in a bit over but not much- £207.93 :)
  • I'm done - declaring at £25.63. Have a lovely Easter everyone.

Just £5 spent this morning, on apples, shallots, raspberries & blueberries. Shouldn't need much more until payday, but there'll be some spent on Wednesday at the County Town market. Fingers crosses, I'm going to stay under budget for the second month in a row...

  • Not been on here much this month, but would like to thank Zippychick for starting the thread which has helped me and so many others keep a track of monthly spends. Where would we all be without you! Would also like to thank Elsiepac for taking over and thanks as always to Coxy and lynnejk for their hard work on the thread.,

Now been much better this month as seem to (finally) realise that should only be shopping when necessary, not just because I can!

Will declare for March now as going away for Easter and have enough milk, bread etc til then

    March GC £116.86

    Jan GC = £61.59
    Feb GC = £231.43
    Mar CG = £116.86

Freezers emptying nicely, still loads of ys veg, but not much meat or fish left, so maybe will look after Easter for some bargains! Still working my way through the tins and restocking when necessary, but no longer hoarding enough to feed the 5000! habit from my Mum who lived through the rationing of the war and always stockpiled (still does now). Still onwards and upwards and good luck to us all x

Declaring at £316.43 for this month. £66.43 over budget  Mind you most of that was due to having four guests for 2 days which was totally unexpected and used a lot of my stores up which then had to be replaced as with snowfalls still expected here I cant afford not to have things in stock.

On to April. As normal I run from 27 to 26th of the month. I had 15 NSD last month which is also why the budget is so blown this month. I must make sure I do one shop only a week and then one top up for bread and milk. This will be particularly hard in April as I am on holiday for 2 weeks and the temptation to pop into the shops is very strong.

A small spend today, stopped at a f**d warehouse today and they had vienna ice creams which I've been wanting to try. Also grabbed a reduced pack of dried fruit and nuts from asd* when I stopped to get cash earlier.
Spent £1.65. I'm very close to my budget now though £359.31/£370
