    Mr T £70.09
Biggest shop in a while. Got a great YS meat haul though, enough for around 18 meals for £11.57. Lots of mince and chicken thighs with and without skin.

    Total £195.83 so £104.17 left

Been using Aduki beans from pantry (aka tipville), rather than buying my usual brown lentils. They are an amazing substitute for veggie mince and make lovely dips etc. Down to the last bag. Not a fan of boiling them for 2.5 hours though. We have a no package store opening in my town, so gonna treat myself to an electric pressure cooker, if anyone can recommend one. I haven't got a clue what to look for, is it 'pressure' (doh). Might have to have a read up on it - I'm being my usual 'lazy' self. I'm not really bothered how much it costs, if it's a good one, though a bargain is always nice.

Save Dosh, I have an Instant Pot and love it. Beans and curries are very easy in there and you can also do risotto too. OH (vegetarian) loves the stuff I make in the IP for him and to put in the freezer. The model I have also has a yoghurt function but we haven't tried it out yet. I think I'll try that food experiment later in the year when less busy.

Hi everyone - am on budget currently and today should be an NSD due to horrible weather. Popped into H0lland and Barr3tt on lunch yesterday and now trying to resist the temptation to stock up on multi vitamins as they!!!8217;re on sale.

Holland and Barrett is like my form of hippy crack! I have to remind myself that the sales come around very often and to not buy everything all at once.

I just realized I haven't updated since Wednesday. So far I've had 2 NSDs (including today) and a couple of purchases.

€4.56 at Lidl: eggs, pasta and shredded mozzarella.

€18.16 at Delhaize: strawberries, peanuts, Pringles, all purpose cleaner, drain cleaner and a couple of other things.

    Totals So Far:
    €156.14 / €400.00
    11/10 NSD
    £0/£150 UK stock up

I'm slightly ticked off that two of the avocados I bought last week were utterly rotten inside even when they were supposed to be ripe. That's a good €3 gone and food wasted. Phooey.

Today I meant to go buy bananas for OH and for traveling since we're heading to London early Tuesday morning. It's been a bleah snowy and cold day so I stayed home after running errands. I'll probably get them tomorrow along with other traveling items and toilet paper. Eating down the freezer is going okay but I'd really like to open up more space in the next two days. I've pulled out some meatball mixture and will likely have that for dinner tomorrow stuffed into a red pepper.

As for the GC, I'm genuinely surprised I haven't spent more yet. (And quite proud of myself. :) ) March is supposed to be a stock up month but I think I'm just holding on to stuff and some items are lasting longer than anticipated. We'll probably have to buy laundry detergent when we return but looking at the bottle, that could be pushed until April. I'm guessing I'll also rack up some more NSDs while in the UK as well.
  • I’m up to £259.24 as of today, which puts us bang on target as I’ve done most of the shopping for next week. I usually shop on Sunday but I didn’t fancy braving the ice after it all freezes tonight. Took my Gran to Sains this morning instead. She did her shopping and I did ours and both sets of parents’ shopping. So at least I know everyone will get fed if we can’t get to them for a few days. Hopefully the weather won’t be too bad or long lasting this time.

    Hope everyone is well.

thriftwizard I’m dying to ask about the loom :D

    That’s so sweet. Well done.
  • Another £1.00 at Iceland and 56p at Greggs on Tuesday, then 99p at the market, £1.69 at Herons, £10.49 at Co-op - all on food, and £30.00 on food, £2.94 on household and £2.94 on toiletries at Waitrose today.
    So I'm at £123.07 for food, £10.00 on cleaning, £2.94 on household, £8.70 on toiletries = £144.71

Thank you, just checked some out on Amazon, they've come a long way from the 'hissing demons' I remember, will have a proper look in a while.

Well, ended up going to market, Got 12 mangoes, 4 courgette, 13 huge tomatoes, 8 avocado, some peanut butter & some coconut milk. Came to £6.22. My alcohol budget is busted (slightly), oh well, not bothered about that. I also bought a couple of packs of Linda Mc Chorizo cocktail sausages, which came to £4. I won't be using them this month, as I already have some in the freezer, but just bought them, as they are always sold out of them, when I go to buy them. Have taken it out of the bulk buy. Have updated sigs.
