    Hi February Fabulistas,

Off to work again soon. Friday's can leave me a bit frazzled but I'm hoping today won't be as bada usual.

    Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:

    * Good, homemade, sustaining breakfast.

    * Work very hard on my own mental health issues. Do Holistrio App.

    * Check online banking and broadband usage.

    * Turned off alarm clock until tonight, it resets itself automatically.

    * Will take a packed lunch to work with DW's homemade coleslaw in it.

    * Charge phone at work. On work days this is enough that I don't have to charge my phone at home at all.

    * LiveChat Broadband provider. They told me this month's bill would be £24. They took £39. Result! They are giving me a £24 refund!

    Morning all :)
    Welcome Spudsmum :)
Hope poorlies are feeling better :)

    Today I have / will:
Had HG cooked fruit from the freezer with breakfast instead of bought fresh fruit
Checked banks, didn't need to update spreadsheet as nothing had gone out
    RM surveys tasks Done
Load of washing in machine, which will go outside to dry once finished Done, dry :)
Probably put in another load Didn't get to this
Quick whizz round with the vacuum cleaner Very quick
Another trip to the garden centre :o I need a few more stepping stones for my large raised bed, plus a few small plants to put between them. Not intending to spend more than about £20 though. Actually spent £32 :o
Call into the vet's to pick up flea and worm treatment for dog - no additional cost as this is covered by membership of their pet club, which I pay monthly as it works out much cheaper (covers all injections, flea and worm treatments, discount on various other treatments including his neuter op etc) Done, picked up a voucher I had been sent ages ago for food, treats etc, wasn't sure if it would still be valid, but it was, and I managed to get the dog a new toy and 3 packs of treats which will last him for ages, at no cost, just the voucher :T
Make soup for lunch - might cheat and use the rest of the veg curry I made last night. Might work blended with some stock and a couple of tablespoons of cream - there isn't enough for three of us for lunch as it is.... Done, worked out ok :)
Get something out of the freezer for dinner - I am thinking some HM roasted tomato sauce, to go with the tortellini (? sp) I have in the fridge Done, had salad to go with it :)
Might tackle those hanging baskets later, though the plants might be better left undisturbed for a bit longer if we do get the cold weather that keeps being threatened..... Not sure! Redid 1 basket, but the logs OH had ordered arrived, and most of the afternoon was spent stacking them in the garage
OH also filled the car up with fuel

Better go and update my spreadsheet

Hope everyone has a good day :)
  • Welcome spudsmum

Thank you Purps, decided after a day of moping and some tears yesterday to get off my bum and start fighting today.

New phone been sorted. First time I have had insurance on a phone, have a feeling this is going to be valuable 10 times over as I am so clumsy.-had to pay £20 excess which has come out of my small emergency fund but so much cheaper than fixing or replacing.

Banking all checked, bills paid, d.debits all up to date. last one went out today. would rather they all went out the first but have the occasional straggler.
    Cats all sorted
Need to pop out in abit to the sorting office. Also need to pop to Home B for a couple of items. I refuse to pay the price of bleach in the likes of Tesc@
heating off and windows open for fresh air. It is so good to see the lighter mornings although I do wonder where Feb has gone and we are soon into march
Ebay parcels to package up and will have to wait until Monday with new phone to put more items on but I am getting a certain satisfaction from my declutterfest......when I do it

have a good day everyone x

Hello everyone and hope you're having a good week and staving off any lurgies around. Have felt like I've been going down with something for a while now - have been using up some parsnips, carrots and ginger lurking in the fridge to make some (rather caustic!) vitamin-packed juices.

Oh my. To say I've been a terrible DFW recently would be the understatement of 2018. I've been a bit over-spendy recently, particularly on groceries, and I've been using my commute (450 miles) as a bit of an excuse, which is a bit poor. I must tighten my belt, or I'll find myself spiralling towards the old me.

Speaking of which, today I will return some items I bought from town in a shopping splurge  (nice to haves, but non-essentials) and I will put that money straight into my savings account where I will not touch it! Bad Uphill Struggler!

Today my MS efforts will include/have included:
*free hot drink in town (take flask)
*use pass at gym (fill up water bottle)
*[STRIKE]go over household budget for next month[/STRIKE] done
*meal plans for next week - create
*[STRIKE]check accounts and savings account[/STRIKE] done
*take fancy items back to town (what was I thinking?!)
*meals from stores (smoothie for brekkie, salad for lunch, dinner TBC)
    *[STRIKE]wipe down kitchen[/STRIKE] done

    Have a super day, everyone.

    Hi Friday Frugalistas,
A pathetic day. Thanks for all the well wishes. The damned lergy doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I did manage to sleep till 3 am though. Mr f is off today as is owed time. He brought me breakfast in bed & told me to stay there. He then went out to get the grocery shopping, which came in on budget (Aldi, Waitrose - where he got a free coffee & 'Guardian' - & local market). And when he got home, he unpacked it all & put it away. All I have contributed towards money saving today is making a big onion & rosemary foccaccia to go with tonight's turkey soup. Oh....& I've entered 1 competition & done 2 surveys. I am now having a concerted knitting session as with this Siberian weather front apparently heading for the eastern side of the country, I'd like to be wearing my new big jumper asap.
All other leisure will be free.....various tv episodes on catch-up plus have started reading new book......not bought by me....my Mum lent it to me.
So you can see I'm still in a state of lergy & not up to my usual levels of industry.
Hope everyone else is having a better day.
    F xx

  • Evening all!

Thank goodness its Friday - seems to have been a long week.

    Today I have:-

Skimmed my bank account and sent surplus to virtual debt jar
Sold one of DS's old jackets online
Meal planned and shopped to my list (apart from a couple of ys's which I will incorporate into meal plan) and came in £10 under food budget.
Put £3 on christmas savings card.
Bought all of the kids easter eggs while they were on special offer for 75p each (also came out of shopping budget)
Bought two boxes of ys sausage bean and cheese pasties - £1 for 8 pasties - not particularly healthy but good to have in freezer for when a quick after school tea is needed for the kids
Bought DC2 some next jeans from charity shop for 99p in the next size up (have toddler twins so clothing costs a fortune and try to pick up cheap bits where i can)
Kids tea x 3 from stores
Made use of the oven being on and whipped up a quick bread and butter pudding for the empty shelf using a leftover pannetone from xmas, some eggs that were near their date and dregs of sugar and dried fruit from stores.
Turned heating off and put my dressing gown on instead
Done a prolific survey and a couple of swagbuck surveys

    Think thats about it
Total debts £21050! now £10941. 76. Total extra income made in Jan22 £109. 27 Feb 22 £45.25 Total extra income made in 2022 £154.52 Aiming for debt free at 45 - 41 months to go!
  • I forgot you were going away 1LL. Hope you had a fab break with the family. Glad do see you back so promptly :rotfl:

    My list:
    Smalls to Pre paid dancing
    Meals from stores
    Check banking
    Check for surveys
    Get some washing outside
Change our bed and get it washed and hung outside, just waiting for DH to get up first ;)
Quick tidy round, finding a wipe round of the bathroom every day whilst supervising tooth brushing is a very productive 2 minutes
See if I can spend half an hour sorting some of the smalls clothes in advance of sale

    Enjoy your day folks.

    Hi February Fabulistas,

Off to work again soon. It's my "Friday". It's been a bit of an odd week work-wise, there's some changes coming which I'm slightly stressed about but will have to embrace.

    Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:

    * Good, homemade, sustaining breakfast.

    * Work very hard on my own mental health issues. Do Holistrio App.

    * Check online banking and broadband usage.

    * Turned off alarm clock until tonight, it resets itself automatically.

    * Will take a packed lunch to work with some YS quiche DW found yesterday. Took some leftover homemade coleslaw and threw "extras" in it.

    * Get DW to freeze leftover cabbage before it dies.
