    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
    Evening everyone

Sending some gws vibes for your Mum Donna and some big squishy hugs.

Brilliant weight decluttering Pigpen - pleased to read the reduction in sugar and red meat seems to be helping as well.

    Dailies done
    Spanish lessons done
    Twenty mins exercise
Dusted all through, top to bottom, except hall (front door being replaced tomorrow)
Online order done with Mr T for delivery Thursday
Weekly shop done at Al*i and all put away
    WUDUPA and kitchen wiped over
Helped DH sort bottoms of his two wardrobes
Two large, black sacks filled, put in car and taken to CS
Three more files 'thinned' and pile left for DH to shred and recycle

The chaps turned up to do the heating survey. It seems they are looking at replacing heaters with radiant ones, which are larger than current heaters and more specific as to placement. This means totally re-arranging most of the furniture in the apartment and losing my table and chair in the kitchen. They will also put small heaters in the bathroom and kitchen which means I shall lose my heated towels rails in these rooms.

A further pause for thought was that they only work when on (ie no residual heat), and heat the air in front of them rather than convected heating the air and the walls. Currently the one in the LR against the bedroom wall warms sufficiently in there and similarly the other one in the LR does the same for the spare room.

This also means that my economy 7 will be redundant, and I would have to use 'full price' electric for heating, and I would probably have to use most of them to keep the other rooms warm.

So, bearing in mind it would be a total upheaval and a lot of mess again, we are going on holiday two days later and - more to the point - we plan on leaving well before next winter, we have decided not to go ahead with it.

Tomorrow, however, the guys are arriving to replace our front door and frame. It's a fire safety door and should only take about three hours to put in - I'm not holding my breath :D This afternoon I cleared the porch and found out the dec cloth for the floor inside the hall, and DH removed the door bell push, house numbers and our 'anti-draft' letterbox. So in the morning I'll just have to lift the mats, take down the door curtain (two screws) and put the kettle on.

Hugs, sticks and spoons to all needing some
Hope you all have a great Tuesday and see some sunshine

Morning all. I do wish I was on holiday like Valli.

I've had a really rough night with LittleyDog not feeling well, DH snoring and my mind whirring with what today may bring. And I've got a late night tonight.

Right, lets take a look at the list.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Morning all,

Sorry to hear you have had a bad night Jazee xx

Slinky checking in to report a 3lb loss :j so that’s 20lb off so far, which reminds me a huge well done to Piggers on your loss :T

Enjoying a cuppa then will go and power walk the dog. Also did some laundry overnight which can go on the line, and the DW needs unloading.

    Have fab days all xx

Morning all. Today we're going to raise a glass to little sis, and remember many happy times together. The sun is shining and the sky is blue.
The last words she said to me, and I to her, were of our love for each other. Most of the time now, my memories bring smiles to my face. She is forever missed but forever loved.

Have flashed through thr thread; hope the poorly mum in hospital is improving and well done on slinkyness. And my hoppity is staying right where he is Piggers, sorry. Mrs Chaos might be someone to ask about rehoming - I am certain she has connections with a sanctuary; whether it's too far I don't know.

    Morning

Hugs to Jazee sending posi-vibes your way xx

Well done atb:T xx I'm amazed to report a 1 lb weight loss in the slinky challenge this week - no I don't know how either :o But :D

And it was lovely to come down this morning and see floor here in the living room, and even better to walk in to a kitchen with no dirty pots. :)

DS is back at work today. I'm meeting Lorna for lunch but the rest of the day is for flying with breaks for Olympics.

I've made the bed, opened the bedroom window a tad, made pack up for DS, eaten breakfast, watched the end of a ladies curling game featuring the GB team, and had a chat with DS - who has now disappeared upstairs to get ready for work.

    Round 1 =
    1- get washed and dressed
    2- set WM x1 swishing
    3- feed the birds
4- put out rubbish and recycling
    5- WUDUPA pots
6- take up all clean clothes currently piled on the sofa.
    7- order repeat presciption
8- 15 minutes H2H clearing dining end of kitchen
    9- coffee

    Back later

Round 1 stages 1-7 completed + emptied rubbish out of DS's room, opened his curtains and window, and unloaded WM x 1 on to airer.

Stage 8 is going to have to wait as going upstairs x 4 to clear sofa of clean laundry has worn me out (temporarily). Sofa looks better (as in you can actually see it now :D) and I've sorted the laundry in to piles on my bed ready for [STRIKE]piling on to the ottoman[/STRIKE] putting away ;).

I thought about hanging out the washing as the sun is shining at the moment - but the forecast is showers and as I'm going out for lunch I decided not to risk it. I'm glad now as the sun has disappeared and it looks as though it's going to chuck it down any minute!

Hope all is well chez flyladies

Slightly manic waving from Dizzyland as I take a brief break with a cuppa before I begin again...

As I blitzed the kitchen on Sunday, it didn't take long to get it ship-shape and gleaming. As I've got lumpy, bumpy lime plaster panels and huge timbers, we decided on no wall cupboards when we had the new kitchen installed, so nothing above eye level except the top of the fridge (which I did at the weekend!) Soooo, in an attempt not to waste the morning I have de-grotted the lounge, swept, dusted, tidied log store, lit woodburner, cleared ash and cleaned leather sofa...all nine seats and chaise section.

Coping vibes to flyfriends with small beans on half term holiday this week. Despite it being about -10° here, Tiny went to preschool in shorts today, although he did put on his new shoes and wiped his snotty nose before we left today, so I class that as a win over yesterday :T

Happy holibobs Valli and energy-boosting thoughts for Jazee this morning. I seem to be on a high myself, which is slightly worrying...

Right - off to finish painting the middle room ceiling. Only three more panels to go. That's if I can see through the tears after watching James Bulger's mum being interviewed by Phil and Holly on This Morning.

  • Back from work and spent 30 mins in bedroom so now it is dusted, hoovered and tidied a bit. Also put the ski clothes away (we went skiing for xmas and they were washed the first week in January but were 'airing' on the doors before being put away. Weel aired now and put away.
Living room hoovered (main area didn't move furniture)
Kitchen nice and tidy, cooker and surfaces wiped down and floor hoovered and washed. I washed it yesterday too but decided to do it again today as it hadn't been done for months and was (and still is a bit) filthy.
Now enjoying time on sofa with olympics, water and handcream whilst floor dries, then it will be lunch.
HHpaperwork afterlunch before I go back to work.
    Hugs to all
    xx
