Hi guys my mom jsut got me a 7600 but i dont wnat to use really want to use 3

Is there anway to unlock the phone to all networks including 3??

Am i right in think 02 Tmobile and ornage dont have the 3g facility yet?? I heard it only Vodafone and 3??

This missing option can be restored (as megazoid mentioned earlier) by using a service box eg griffin or prodigy.

pm me your imei and ill give you the unlocking code
remember you may get signal dropping, depending on where you live and which network your trying to use, only way to cure this is to reset the menu using specialist equipment (can sort this for you)

Hi, thanks for confirming that.I have had my phones unlocked and can see this menu and have now successfully changed it to Orange 2G so I can use it with my Orange Sim.
In the SETTINGS menu I still skip from 6 to 8 though- do you? 6 is tone settings and next comes 8 security settings????? Do you have a 7 here?

your phone needs menu reset to enable option 7 which will allow you to chose between duel mode and gsm.
the menu should be like this:
Settings->Phone Settings->Network Mode, choose GSM only mode

it may work on orange where you are but in a different area it may not without signal dropping

Sorry bout the slow reply,
Got a serial data cable, and downloaded Fbus by Maestro, but its far from fool proof, the software and the phone acted as if they were speaking different languages, sometimes the software crashed and i had to restart the program, sometimes it would read the phone and sometimes it wouldnt, but after clicking on 'full factory reset' a few times it worked succesfully.

it will still work on 3 after an unlock yes, the unlock is purely to allow it to use non-3 simcards

Orange are also rolling out a 3G network currently and the signal is active in certain places already(probably the same as Voda which will be limited abit unlike 3), only O2/T-Mobile are safe at present.

HI, I DO HAVE THE GSM MENU, I AM MISSING AN OPTION FROM THE GENERAL SETTINGS MENU .

                        8 SECURITY SETTINGS
                  9 RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS


ANYONE ELSE GOT AN OPTION 7 HERE???
