ESE Solar Panel Free Health Check

I have been reading these forums today as my elderly mum (87) has been targeted by similar tactics recently. She lives alone, and had solar 8/9 years ago which was handled by my father before he passed. Mum has since had a plethora of unsavoury characters darken her door taking around £12k in the process to overhaul her solar panels and provide a warranty, even though I have now found a copy in her documents of a 10 year warranty, under written by insurance with the installer still trading and informing me that it’s a known scam and that a replacement converter box can be installed for under £1k. Mum has written on the paperwork Nextgen energy, but I’ve traced the payments to a company called High Star Energy Ltd. Crucially when I have called them and asked for Nextgen they have continued the call as though normal, so I suspect they are using a front to conceal who they are which probes the question that they have purposely set out to deceive or act fraudulently. I have been to their ‘offices’ know as Herritage House in Gravesend and the front desk staff have confirmed they do not work from there but have mail forwarding, and a name plaque on the wall only. Mum says they called from MSC or MCS, but the guy that arrived had no ID and didn’t follow the MCS story but did confirm he was electrically trained and condemned the converter box in the loft by just looking at it through the loft hatch !4

Nine on bail and the magistrates referred it to the Crown Court (meaning that the possible prison sentences if found guilty may be in years rather than months). Well done to West Berkshire Council trading standards, and to West Berkshire District Council (maybe that's the same thing) for pursuing it and prosecuting.
And also well done and thank you to whoever reported these individuals and companies to trading standards and was/are involved in giving evidence.7.25 kWp PV system (4.1kW WSW & 3.15kW ENE), Solis inverter, myenergi eddi & harvi for energy diversion to immersion heater. myenergi hub for Virtual Power Plant demand-side response trial.6 -

They are still at it a year later. They forced me to redact a post I had made on this subject a year ago. The ridiculous thing was you could still see what I had originally written when it was included in other peoples replies. I was vindicated anyway when the ESE crowd fell foul of trading Standards.0
