Is that really a good idea?

The OP has reported that they have a County Court Claim.

Surely you are not suggesting that should be ignored too?
  • Hi guys, long time posting but there has been an update. I have received a directions questionnaire which is to be completed by 28th May 2020. I know I must also print of another copy and send it to the claimant through the post. Is there a reason as to why they decided to act upon it now when my AoS was filed back in 2018?

Presumably (haven't read back through the thread) you eventually received court claim papers, completed the AoS and have submitted a defence.  What happens after you submit a defence is all contained in the NEWBIE sticky and I am sure you know where to find it by now.  We have read a lot of PPCs and solicitors are trawling around for uncompleted cases to try to make a bit of money.

What, they decided to proceed now and resurrect a claim they filed in 2018 with the court?

Have you filed a defence dated 11th May 2020?  Or do you mean their letter was dated then?

Download a DQ form N180, and read the NEWBIES thread for how to fill it in.

    NOT FORM N149 !

    Work must be slow
  • The letter was dated 11th May, and Yes I have already read the process on how to complete the form. I was just curious as to why they would proceed now.
