Do you manage to contain the paint, when you are being artistic at home? When I dabble in my dining room, I end up with paint on the windows and ceiling3

I was woken early by a neighbour ringing the bell - our dog had escaped while being supervised by DH. He hadn't noticed! The dog was off on a patch of grass on the centre of our estate. Thankfully she must have good recall as she came running when I panic called her. I gave her a big dentastick as a reward and went back to bed. Bless DH though he had been cleaning up the kitchen and then the garden before the cleaner came.
Going to physio and then will have another go at working. I need to call someone to get them to quote for a piece of work for my job - but it's as if its a concrete block I need to push through and my brain keeps saying no.... Perhaps I need to make that my first job later. Considering trying to do a bit of work before physio so less to do later... again like wading through treacle. I had a nice omelette for breakfast - we had run out of porridge. Really need to do a shop. DH gets paid tomorrow so I could organise a delivery.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well I made the call and ended up doing extra time today - which made up a bit for yesterday and Monday. I finished a report and progressed a couple of things which made me feel better as they'd been hanging over me.
The physio has given me a copy of the letter she sent - so I can chase the doctor. The surgery claims not to have it yet despite it being sent last Friday. Either me or DH needs to drop it off. I rang one private hospital and their switchboard was jammed and they took a message but didn't call me back. I rang a second and they don't do tthe test I need. So may have no choice but to go nhs anyway. I've asked DH to take me and then for us both to sign up for the gym. The physio agrees doing activities in water would probably help so hope to give that a go.

I'm glad you are clearing a few work tasks and feeling the benefit of knowing they've been done.
Hopefully the GP will get the letter via the post soon. Has your physio given you a letter headed copy letter to hand over to your GP?
Do you think it may be possible to do any of the exercises in the bath, as that was you can do a bit at home and then more a couple of times a week in the pool.
Reading about people's paint escapes, I will confess to mine. Somehow I've ended up with it on the carpet and I've also ended up splashing paint on the walls, it was the black base for preparing my canvas. I have ended up smothered in oil paint too.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
Now, I never would have thought of using the dog as a canvas to experiment on - a Tracey Ermin streak! Glad you got the report finished and created some more head space.2

DH got paid today and it included some Overtime so always nice to have a boost. I now need to move some money around again. He was late to work today bless him - he overslept. My work rang me while I was still in bed.... not the best start to the day. I need to nip to the corner shop for some porridge - as really don't fancy omelette again. I have to have food to take my tablets. I have a delivery coming this evening.
DH drove me to the GP surgery last night and we dropped off a copy of the letter so hopefully the GP will do the referral today for extra tests. I had to take extra tablets after going to physio. My x-ray results aren't back but the receptionist said they would have been if there was a problem on them. We tried to do the gym sign up thing but the person couldn't log onto the right page so I have to ring up apparently. Will aim to do that today. . .
Need to work from home again - but like all good hobbits - need a decent breakfast first.

Well I did another couple of paintings after work tonight. Really enjoyed doing them - time flew. I wonder whether I could try doing a small one before work - whether I would then be happier and more motivated - may give it a go tomorrow - or maybe not as I'm behind time wise. Will see what time I wake up.
DD has a busy day tomorrow. She is going swimming with a friend in the morning. In the evening she has a party she is going to so DH and I will get some peace. We are considering going on a date to a cinema with reclining chair again on Saturday afternoon. I was listening to a free series on happiness on Audi*** and it recommended putting things in the calendar to look forward to so giving that a go. I'm back in the office for part of next week - need to see how that goes. Not looking forward to it. So need to put some low energy activities in to look forward to. My new hobby is eating up all my personal spends... a limit to how much I can afford to do if I stick within budget.
This issue with my leg has been really scaring me - but I'm torn between getting the peace of mind from being debt-free and enjoying the journey. Still trying to find the right balance. Doing painting / crafts is the bright point in my week. I sometimes wonder if I would have struggled less with MH issues if I had pursued a career in arts/crafts/writing rather than what I do. At least the steps we are taking to live within a budget and become debt-free are opening up choices for us.
Things I'm grateful for:- My husband, kids and pets
- Our beautiful home and cars
- Supportive employer(s)
- Well paid work
- Space to do craft activities - and a DH that allows it despite the mess that comes with it
- The joy of experimenting with different crafts and the satisfaction of creating a thing of beauty for myself or others
- Work funded physio sessions
- NHS
- A financial plan
- Support from MSE forum
