Glad your Christmas present is installed, often just a small change makes a huge difference and gives a much needed boost at times.
Think about how much you have paid off in 2019, I'm sure you will find it's more than you planned to.
Each time DD comes off her bike, it knocks her confidence. She needs to go for a small practice somewhere safe to build her confidence back up; she's doing well to be riding in December.
The gifts for DS sound great.
I'm sure your car will appreciate it's Christmas gift.

Sorry I've been MIA from your diary holmes, I do hope you enjoy your time off and find some time to relax and reflect on how much you have achieved this year xx0

A very well earned 2 weeks off, I'm sure! You've paid off loads in 2019, this time of year is always a killer. Ouch at the uni costs right at the end of the year!DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

Agreed. Ideally I want to paint behind the radiator and do the gloss work in the downstairs w/c before MIL comes on Boxing day. That would give me a lift - as the gloss work is yellowing and has been nagging at me for a while. DH is at work so he would be out of the way.MovingForwards wrote: »Glad your Christmas present is installed, often just a small change makes a huge difference and gives a much needed boost at times.
You're right - we owed £42.5K and now we owe £25.2K - which even accounting for a £6.8K ppi reclaim is still phenomenal progress. By mid Jan pay day should get down to £24.8K.MovingForwards wrote: »Think about how much you have paid off in 2019, I'm sure you will find it's more than you planned to.....
Again you're right - and I am unconsciously comparing her to DS who just got on with things and I forget to make enough allowances.MovingForwards wrote: »Each time DD comes off her bike, it knocks her confidence... she's doing well to be riding in December.
Absolutely - been doing that a little. Car went through the service yesterday at no extra cost which was a relief.. I also got some bargains at an outlet village - particularly pleased with 6 lots of £1 b0dysh0p lotion. Me and DD love it and it was a massive reduction!MovingForwards wrote: »You sound like you need your me time, grab some cake, coffee and put your feet up x
Today, I finally put up a string of Christmas lights on a couple of bushes at the front of the house today - so progress. Still want to wrap green garland around the banisters inside and some berry lights. I've also bought some outdoor baubles that I am planning to put out tomorrow. I think I have another set of lights too I could potentially run from the shed but need the light to do that.
no worries - I am a bit sporadic currently too - there is so much going on. Hope you are okay too. Yesterday me and DD met a friend and her daughter at a pub for a meal which was nice. Today, I took our pooch out in the winter sun for a run around - as in she ran in circles around me LOL. Did us both good. I also got a shop delivered - and then cooked the meat I want for later in the week - some gammon and beef as well as some chicken for tonight.Sorry I've been MIA from your diary holmes,...xx
I know they are literally due New Year's Eve. Cruelty! I have a horrible feeling we paid DS and he made the payment last time so potentially need to contact him to sort it out.ohshithowdidthathappen wrote: »A very well earned 2 weeks off, I'm sure! My M&D have paid me for the xmas presents i bought - so I'd better sort their pressie now LOL. I've wrapped presents for DD and 4 smallest nephews and a niece. Still need to wrap everything else. So much to do this time of year.

Well done with the body lotion. It is those small wins that cheer me the most when I get them.
