It's a good call starting with the free / cheaper jobs. There's still enough good weather to potter around the garden and time to appreciate it.
Engineered wood flooring is on my to do list too. It had come down in price, but I've not looked at costs recently. When money allows it will be worth it.
Well done finding time for art and yourself.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Thanks MF.
I took pooch for a walk last night too. Yesterday I bought some pretty cyclamens so want to plant them today.
I am going to paint the Banister rail in stormy blue today while the kids are out. Then need to dig out some white to finish the door and the uprights of the Banister. It's all dark wood so very unfashionable. May do it over a few days so I don't wear myself out.
My garden bin gets emptied tomorrow so after that will do more work in the garden.
I hope to apply for my remortgage next week and don't want to be tripped up by an early valuation and it come out wrong. There's a 0.41% difference in rate if it does...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

My in-laws have bamboo flooring in their dining room.
They've had it for over ten years and it's still as good today as when it wa laid.
Seems pretty indestructible as it's taken a few knocks over the years. If it's not adding up, compound it!5 -
Thanks Lucielle
I am enjoying Zumba and The Balance class and making friends so happy days.
Grogged I agree about decent flooring. We have engineered wood downstairs oak style it is beautiful and it is up to 15 years old...
Well I finished the front door today and the blue part of the Banister rail. Me being me I knocked the tin of paint over onto the carpet. I spooned it back in the tin and still used it and wiped down the carpet. Luckily the carpet is also blue so not super obvious.
I had my widowed neighbour round for coffee in one of my breaks as she popped round.
Also made some art tonight. This was yesterday's

So nice to hear that your DD is being treated so well and having a good experience as an apprentice. The door sounds nice and lucky that the paint is a good match for the carpet 😱. Spilling the paint is just the sort of thing I'd end up doing.Keep looking after yourself5

Thanks as ever for the encouragement.
Wiped out tonight from being up at 6.30 for DD who failed to get up for a further 45 mins almost making us late. Dropping her off is a 100 mile round trip. I am picking her up Friday and Ex is doing next week. I have booked a half day off Friday...
