Photo from the weekend. Love these kind of sculptures. Keeping old crafts alive.
Went for a brief drive tonight. When I drove back the sun was setting in pinks and golds. My kind of view.

I think it's never been more important to get into nature, soakup the sun, truly live especially after this time where life has felt on hold for so long. I am hoping to go to a beach tomorrow. Either tomorrow night or the day after DS is coming back for a few nights. He loved the beauty this is weekend...
DD is spending time at a friend's so all good there. DH went for a bike ride (near home) and came off so he has a few scrapes. He says he's really missing me... I'm still enjoying the peace and respite of time alone... He is supportive of that which is good.
I get paid tomorrow but spent a lot this last few weeks so don't know how much to pay off...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Some lovely photos, especially the waterfall and sculpture.
You sound like a butterfly emerging from its pandemic cocoon.Nice to see how supportive and loving your family is.
Take care, G.If it's not adding up, compound it!5 -
Thanks Grogged.
Feel like I am slowly finding my footing again.
Feel like I have been in a dark valley but slowly climbing back towards the light. Wales really is beautiful.
I also got to swim/float in the sea today for hours which was life affirming. Didn't get to do that last year...
DS due to visit tomorrow. He's been doing paid work and job hunting today.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Beautiful pictures. You are sounding so well and relaxed. I'm glad you are having a nice time. I'm rather envious, I dream of a little break on my own in a lovely area. You've got a lovely balance of alone time and seeing your family there."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks Jwil. Back home tomorrow which will be the true test of how I am functioning. The beauty if the countryside and seaside has been therapeutic. It was windy today so wave jumping rather than swimming but good exercise.
In MSE news, DH's target card doesn't need to be repaid in full until July payday. So will focus on clearing accommodation bill first... And see if can get budget closer to normal. Then see what we can throw at the target card. That would then just leave one other card that technically is 0% until next year. Want it gone though.
I have an offer of free accommodation local to home if I find I still need it... Next week or beyond... Much more MSE than paying for cottages. Money well spent though. Mostly ate 'in' to keep costs down...
I am hoping to fit in a day trip to Keswick at some point. Missed it... DS wants to come too but I imagine DH will too....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
