HI MF and BadMemory
I have relatively short hair - just try and make it meet at the back and cut chunks off top and sides. I do it while it's dry so I can see what impact I'm having. Unlike a hairdresser - I can have multiple goes over a few days if it's not quite right. No-one at work noticed so I take that as a good sign...
I spent 30 mins on phone to H**C. I tried ringing them almost year ago to get phone/online banking set up - but they wanted me to go into a branch - which obviously wasn't going to happen. Because they are my next target CC it's now urgent to get them set up. Thankfully they are just going to send my details through the post... Why they couldn't do that a year ago I don't know! Anyway - it should get set up just in time for payday so that's good at least.
I've spent some of this afternoon listening to podcasts about marketing and selling books. I think part of it is a) release loads of books and b) give it time. I think the other thing is it took all of them 2 or 3 years for even the more successful people to start earning decent returns from their writing (with multiple books). They all seem to struggle with self-belief too. But the more successful ones all believed it was possible and did what it took to make that happen. I still have a long way to go on the marketing side of things... I'm planning to do some more writing today...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hope the writing went well. You've got a solid foundation with a decent book, so whilst it may not be quick, hopefully things will develop for you"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks Jwil for the compliment. It does help to know people read and enjoyed book 1. It is going to be on offer for free next weekend between 8am on the 12th until I think 8am on the 15th. Anyone that has read it could gift it to others or encourage them to get it - and anyone who hasn't tried it yet on here - that posts regularly - pm me for details and you can potentially get it free.
I spent most of yesterday reading - but at least that refreshes my brain cells too! I've done some writing today.... Currently procrastinating on here - but then need to get back to it.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Oops - nearly an hour gone. Cracks whip. Should get back to it. At least while posting on here - I reminded myself that I need to set my book's free offer for next weekend in all territories and not just UK. I will try and write some more but if that fails, may have a go at doing some marketing materials to promote next weekend's free period on insta and FB. It's all learning. Still need to work on my website too... My DH moaned it was the weekend.... I'm wondering when else he thinks I have time to do this stuff?
I found the extension cables but still need to find a suitable box to send them back in. Will be £60 refunded to Am**** but pretty much spent that replacing them so no further on.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

That's the trouble with weekends - they get filled up with all the tasks that we can't do in the week, add in a bit of rest and recuperation and that's the weekend gone! You manage to get plenty done - you put me to shame - I've had a fairly lazy day.3

If you've got any boxes, just open them up and wrap the leads up, then wrap a bin liner around it and tape up.
While you may deem your procrastination as that, sometimes it's good to give the brain a rest.
DH will be happier when all your hard work sees the bank balance increasing, unfortunately all the background side does take time to get done.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Thanks Blackcats and MF
Well persuaded DS to make tea so that was a result. Spag bol. I wrote about 100 words of my book. Better than nothing. I was listening to someone talk about why writing a novel can be so hard - and they said it's because we have to decide everything our characters do - and therefore it's easy to get overloaded. That made sense to me. They therefore advise you reduce your other decisions in the day eg less clothes to wear, less meal options, more forward planning etc.
I've sent an email to Am**** asking them to update the categories I'm listed against. Apparently I can have 10 and I only currently have 3. I've dropped one of the three and added eight. Hopefully that will get done in time for my promotional weekend - starting 12/2. DH fitted the signal booster in the lounge last night - and so far today my IT connection has been much better. Hope the same is true tomorrow.
An ambulance came to the neighbour's house last night. Didn't want to be too nosy. I dropped a card around today but there was no movement. Hope they're okay. As part of my procrastination today, I checked when I'm due my first vaccination - and should hopefully be within the next 6 weeks for me and DH. I think we all want life to go back to normal - not sure that's going to be the case any time soon though - regardless of vaccinations...
Trying to make myself take the dog for a walk.... but it's cold and windy outside. Nesh...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I did write 706 words of what might become a non-fiction writing project - so productive but not on my top goals. I also asked some questions on my author profile on G00dR3@ds so progressing in the right direction...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well neighbour popped around today. Doing okay - not virus related - but her DH needed an operation - now recovering.
I had a productive work day today. Took a break mid afternoon to walk the dog.
DD made me take her to McD... Led us into bad ways LOL despite a Mr A delivery earlier. Not a lot else to report. Payday in a week. 1 CC payment left to make at the end of this week.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
