You are run down, doing loads and not getting much rest. It's also the weather / season for colds. Keep drinking water and while tidying / de-cluttering think about using a mask to limit the amount of dust you're exposed to.
Hope you're feeling a little better today.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Thanks MF, Crystal and Dancing. DH just took a car load of stuff to the tip. DD and I about to continue decluttering my bed room while he DH empties the old pond area. I will then raise the height, replant it using some stuff we already have and make it look planned.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

You are making great progress and well done on returning stuff too! It's so easy to add to the clutter with stuff that just isn't quite right."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks Jwil and MF. Well yesterday I mostly relaxed other than making a roast dinner. DH put up 2 mirrors though - one in the bathroom and one in our kitchen. DD accused me of putting up the kitchen one to body shame but that wasn't it at all. I wanted the space to look bigger - and when close to it it reflects the garden. I've made a point of looking in the mirror and owning what I look like and thanking my body for its continued support! I think we will probably put any moving plans on hold until at least the new year - but at least we are gradually improving (and emptying) our living spaces. I still don't have a date for the patio to be done. We have a charity bag collection co coming tomorrow - and have 7 or 8 bags to put out. Trying to ringfence the £ for the patio - although if I don't get a date through soon - may over pay a CC - otherwise will just make minimum payments.
DH just took DD to school. I'll need to pick her up later. DD and I had a big row yesterday over nothing - she seems to delight in telling me where I fail coupled with her TOM - things didn't go well. Oh well, dust myself off. Today is a new start. There were 5 virus cases that we know about in her school last week... and her year shut for 2 days again for the second week on the run. It doesn't feel that safe to send her in - yet she hates online lessons - and however much she complains about going - enjoys seeing her friends. Just really hope she doesn't bring it home to us. DS is still going to the city too - again he needs the social. It's such a weird time. I need to log onto work now. Have a good day all.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good luck with the continued decluttering. You've done so well with this.

I hope dd is apologetic today, agree it's difficult to know what to do for the best r.e. school but that social contact is so important. My dd will be off for 2 weeks due to lockdown but she said it's not great as they have so many assessments and Mocks to do this half term she would rather be there.
The house sounds like it's beginning to take shape, waiting to put it on the market will take a bit of pressure off you I hope.

What a shame DD reacted how she did, mirrors do let light bounce around rooms and to bring the garden inside is a lovely touch. She seems to be under a lot of stress / pressure and is taking it out on you, instead of talking.
It is really hard, 'perfect' people in the media, online, films etc, owning what we have is the way of dealing with it.
That's a lot you have scaled down and helping others at the same time.
Making changes, decluttering, paying extra off or not, each is one step closer to moving, maybe not this year, but when the time is right it will happen.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.3 -
Hope today is a better day for you. (((hugs)))I Believe.....

Thanks DIA, Crystal, HM and MF. I've had a mega busy week with work this week which is why I've been silent. Thankfully we are all doing fine. DS's work is picking back up and he is getting new business through the co-working space and my brother which is fab. DH was also paid earlier in the week. We are putting the £ aside for the patio though so feel like we are making very little headway against debt. Next month should be pretty much fully focussed on debt repayment though so it should balance out. I have an electrician!!! He's coming tomorrow and will do the plug sockets for £55 so really pleased.
DH and I had a meal out at a quiet, posh pub I like today - where people even in normal times are very spaced out - 2 hours felt like a mini holiday. Considering booking to go there Xmas day if we can't go see family... DH thinks it will be £ well spent for a change of venue and reduced stress and no washing up or pressure. If I knew Xmas was definitely not a goer in the normal way - I would book it now... I don't know whether I am just being naive to be uncertain.
My £55 clothing refund came through and got knocked off my CC which is good. This month I've been better at paying stuff immediately from our bank rather than reaching for CC so hopefully can now get back on track. In the last 12 months we've repaid £1170 off our mortgage. It all helps. Last payment for DD's phone has gone out - but unfortunately replaced with 6 x £67 pcm payment for DH's car. We will review what we do about putting the house on the market after the back garden is sorted - but currently leaning back towards waiting until next spring.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
