I'd be wary about doing that. You're potentially going to ruin this guys life over the back of some seedy activities?

What he is doing is unsavoury, but it's not worth destroying his life over is it?

I appreciate the point that you raise BUT.....

If this guy is a registered member of a professional organisation, where are his professional ethics.. The same ethics that you would expect if you were paying for his professional services.

IMHO is that he deserves whatever he gets. As you sow so you reap etc. etc. far too many low lifes on eBay/line.

If the OP did choose to report him OP wouldn't be ruining his life, he's set himself up for whatever comes back to bite him on the bum.

Option D for me. The buyer cannot open another Paypal case, he has left a neg. What else can he do.
Yep same here, igore this one. There is nothing else he can do, and they have mucked enough people around already.

Only extra thing to to would be a polite factual reply to the negative feedback you recieved. The aim is not to get your own back, or explain your case, you are simply trying to demonstarte you are a "good ebayer" to anyone who reads your feedback.

There's no need to get his employers involved though is there? It's nothing to do with them.

    Are you the OPs buyer?

The fact that chartered accountants have to be registered with a professional body means they are (supposedly) held to a higher standard than the rest of the hoi-polloi.

Dave, if you are still reading this, please PM me the scammers details and I will happily search and report this scammer for you.

This bloke just keeps on giving...

    I sent him the following...

As you are more than well aware of, under UK law when someone wins something on eBay they form a legally binding contract to purchase that item.
The item was described as 'Text removed', therefore description was totally accurate.
Now I am a reasonable person, so have no problems refunding you, but since seeing your ridiculous feedback, have not rushed to do so.
Can you please give me a breakdown of how much you expect to be refunded.
    Many thanks.

    Message received today.

I am still protected by my rights as a consumer.
You sold an item that was substandard and faulty and certainly not as described.

You have received it back and I expect my money to be refunded in full plus postage at £8.23.
I have also made a complaint to trading standards and ebay.
You have wasted my time and if you do not pay in full you will be forced to do so.

You are not reasonable person at all.
County Court will sort you out, I expect.

Im just going to inform him I am refunding him the cost of the item - my postage and ebay fee's, then he can continue down the court rout if he likes. It was a £50 item, so he will be getting about £40 back.
