And I’m sure you don’t have time for ‘vermin talk’ as you’re too busy faffing about in Tesco
Well, marliepanda, it was easy to amend spelling and grammatical and punctuation errors when we could edit posts easily instead of having about 30 seconds to edit posts.
Wasn't it?
But I always think that anyone who makes a big fuss out of a small error on a public forum has lost the ability to debate anything and is just using that to disguise the fact that they themselves have made an even bigger mistake in real life.0 -
What grammar of mine have you had an issue with?
You've been slabbering throughout this thread trying to make feel silly.
Trying to make feel silly? I!!!8217;m sorry if I made feel silly to anyone!
I!!!8217;ve already quoted your mistake in your opening post, if you cared to read. I wouldn!!!8217;t have cared less if you didn!!!8217;t feel the need to pick on other people.0 -
Meanwhile, back on topic.....
if you were sure you'd been overcharged and had gone straight to Customer Services, you would have had the items you presumably wanted plus double the overcharge.
Just think of it as a lesson learned.0 -
If you bothered reading what I said in post 9 instead of attacking me, you would not have needed to post this.
So - to reiterate - next time you're sure you've been overcharged, don't bother with assistants who are doing a different job, just go straight to Customer Services and when they are refunding you, ask for double the difference.
If you'd have done that originally, you would have had the 2 items you'd gone in to buy, plus the overcharge, so in your example:
£3.99 x 2 = £7.98 charged
'proper' price £5.00 for 2
amount overcharged refunded to you = £2.98
DTD refunded to you = £ 2.98.
So you'd only have paid £2.02 (£5.00 - £2.98 DTD) for 2 items that are usually sold at £3.99 each.
And I'm sure you'd agree that that is very :money:
And you wouldn't even have had a wasted second trip so :money::money:In any event I was told that the prices are just a guide and it's always what's on the system that people need to go by - big lesson learnt here.
However, the supermarket isn't legally obliged to sell the item to you at the price on the shelf label, although in my experience, places like Tesco usually do.
So that's a slightly different lesson learned.0 -
Well, I thought you may have got so distracted by a spelling/grammatical or punctuation error (which was actually nothing more than a predictive text change on my phone) that I was concerned that you might have missed it or forgotten about it.

You don't have to pay 'what's on the system' if the shelf label says a different price, so 'need to go by' isn't strictly correct.
However, the supermarket isn't legally obliged to sell the item to you at the price on the shelf label, although in my experience, places like Tesco usually do.
So that's a slightly different lesson learned.
What would I do without your wisdom?0 -

check the price per 100gms etc is correct.
Three flavours of Tesco fizzy juice in the same size cans each the same price
,Three different prices per 100 mls.
Not one was correct.
Got the duty manager who confirmed that the prices quoted all were wrong. His comment "This really annoys me. Thank you for pointing it out."0
