I was going to suggest repotting the plants and washing the roots. I have previously done this but it was in the summer. Not sure if it’s the right time of year stm.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202 -
Pay day today and it's going to be a very tight squeaky budget this month. As we don't know when DD will be moving out she isn't giving me any rent this month because if she moves she will need it herself. She is putting it away so that if she doesn't move she can pay me later.
I will still be paying my full bills for this month and won't see any change until after she has moved. Once she has moved out I can claim single persons council tax relief and all my other bills will go down so next months budget should be better 🤞🤞
I took B for another walk through the fields and she was full of energy today 😊 it did look like it was going to chuck it down at one point but didn't in the end.
I went to The Range today to see if they had Bs dog food in there, they did but it's cheaper in Sainsbury's at the moment so I didn't buy any. There's also an Aldi in the same place so I bought some bananas and easy peel oranges plus two leek and potato pies which were only £1.79 each. I've put them in the freezer for another day, I went in there to see what vegetarian food they sold but it's all rubbish like nuggets so not what I want. Shops always seem to sell the Quorn mince but not the chicken pieces so it's not worth my going there.
I watched Stacey Solomon's Sort Your Life out on iplayer tonight.I've never seen it before ,it was really good with a lovely family, their house looked lovely afterwards
I am supposed to be going to DD1s tomorrow to help decorate the boys bedroom but she hasn't contacted me with a time or anything yet 🙄 she will just have to wait for me to get ready if I'm not up when she gets hereOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
Spent all day at DD1s house painting the DGS bedroom. We got the first coat on all the walls🎉🎉 she has done one wall in a dark blue and the other three grey and it looks lovely. DGS1 picked the blue paint and I must say he picked a good colour. I came home obsessed with the idea of painting the same colour as a feature wall in my bedroom but I'm not sure I'm brave enough. I have spent the evening saving ideas on Pinterest 😀😀
Tomorrow she is picking me up at 8.30 😳🙀😳 so we can get the second coat on all the walls before we nip to ikea to buy the bookshelf she wants for them. Once we have done that we have a set of bunk beds to build and it all has to be finished in time for the boys to go to bed. Luckily none of the woodwork needs painting it's just the walls so not smelly paint.
I really feel motivated to start my own bedroom now and can't wait to get started. If I were to do a dark blue feature wall ( highly unlikely 😀) DD will give me the paint she has left because we didn't use much. If I go with my original plan of grey I will need to paint it all white first because the colour you paint over effects the final finish and I want it to be accurate. All my furniture is white so it will look good against grey. I also have grey and white linen pinstripe bedding from ikea. The accents such as lampshade and picture frames will be black or white I can't make my mind up. My living room is a beige colour and I have a big picture with a black frame which looks great so I will see what that looks like first to check the colour 😊

We have a feature wall in the bedroom in dark blue with white and light grey elsewhere and I really like it.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I have been watching the Nick Knowles decluttering prog on Channel 5, in one episode i saw from series 2 they painted one wall dark blue and it looked stunning. I love colour though! I have petrol blue downstairs and a dark aubergine purple in my bedroom
I haven't watched any of the Stacey Soloman prog yet.

What a day, we got going early and did the second coat of paint which didn't take long at all. We then nipped to ikea to buy the bookcase DD wanted for the bedroom. Then it was time to put the bunk bed up which ended up taking four hours 🙀 it looks lovely in there now and the boys loved it when they came home.
Im going to go with all grey for my room, it's north facing and I think the blue will be too dark. I've saved some lovely ideas on Pinterest and I can wait to get started now, unfortunately I'm back to work tomorrow so it I'll have to wait. I've got to strip it all first and fill any holes etc so there won't be any painting done yet
I got my latest energy bill today and it is £284 🙀🙀🙀its due to be paid by the 10th of feb and I only paid the last one on the 20th. Why do the dates vary so much when it was always on the same date when I paid by direct debit, that's only 21 days since I last paid them ( confused .com ) I have £250 so that's what they will get 🤷♀️
Im also going to have to do my SC review sometime in the week which will be fun. They are telling people to do it online due to the high volume of calls they are getting at the moment but because of how bad my budget is now it will tell me to phone. I will try it online but I'm sure it will be a waste of time. At the moment wth the energy bills as they are I just can't afford to pay £90 to my DMP so I need a radical rethink. I shouldn't have checked my emails before bed because it will keep me awake now 😟
I'm working 9-5 tomorrow then on Tuesday I'm off so I'm going to mum and Dads to have my hair cut then I'm hoping to be able to be at home to catch up on things here 🤞Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
The week off work went quickly. Your dd is lucky to have your help….will she reciprocate when it’s time to do your room 🤞 The colour scheme sounds lovely and it’s a good idea to collect ideas from Pinterest

I had a good first day back at work today and the best part is I managed to get the rest of this week off 🎉🎉🎉. I have AL left so asked if I could have Wednesday and Friday off and they said yes 😀so I have another week off now.
I am at mum and dads tomorrow to have my hair cut and I have to go shopping and to my surgery to order more steroids so I will do that in the morning.
I think I am now winning the battle with the fungus gnats as there are noticeably less on my Windows. I've been going round a few times a day and swatting any I see but I think the cinnamon is the thing that's made the difference. I also repotted two peace Lilly's that we split from one plant back in the summer, they weren't looking happy and DD 2 said a lady she watches on YouTube said not to put plants in too big a pot. We decided their pots were too big so have moved them into slightly smaller ones 🤞they recover.
The other good news is it was still light when I left work tonight at 5pm and was just getting dark as I got into town at 5.30 🎉🎉🎉Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203
