I absolutely love Liberty's! I can't remember the last time I went down to London for shopping, but of course back in the Spendy Decades, it was always on the London shopping schedule for splashing a bit more of the bank's money. I think even now, I'm probably best staying away!

Wow OBL I’ve only been away a few days and you go from really suffering to getting a diagnosis, treatment, tests and then covid again. I hope you recover from Covid quickly. Just out of curiosity do you take vitamin D. I remember in the early days one of the scientists recommending it, I take it every day with calcium and haven’t succumbed to covid as far as I know. (I’ve tempted fate there, haven’t i😳😂😂) Might be coincidence but there might be something in it. I really hope the steroid meds help you. It’s sounding hopeful.

I think when I go back to the GP on Wednesday and show her my miraculous recovery she will keep me on the steroids which will mean I have to have calcium tablets and bits D for bone protection
I hope you haven't tempted fate and will keep my fingers crossed. I have missed having my booster so that's why I've caught it again. I just goes to show how important they are though 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
I've had a very busy productive day today but I've been sensible and rested in between jobs. I really really really needed to clean my house so today I gave it a good going over and now I am happy 😀🎉😀 it was a good test to see if my pain levels increased and I'm happy to say nothing has happened yet 🤞🤞I got lot of jiggly jobs done that have been aggravating me so that's good.
I also did some banking and budget checking and I'm happy with the way things are currently. I need to do a review of my DMP with SC but I know it's going to be a pain so I keep putting it off. They always tell you to complete it online but because mine is always awkward and is a long running plan the website always refuses to do it and tells me I have to phone someone. I know they are really busy at the moment so getting to talk to someone on the phone will be a challenge. I need to do it though because when DD 2 moves out I won't be able to afford the payment I'm on at the moment, in fact if the energy bills increase like they say they will I will be reduced to token payments every month. I still might go self managed in the new year. I will see how I feel,I think it will give me more freedom. One of my debts is under £400 and I could possibly pay that one off if I'm careful. I'm also going to put the council tax free months money into my energy account, I have £340 in there at the moment but there is a bill due on the 15th of December. I paid October's bill a couple of weeks ago then got another one that said it overrode previous bills for that time period so I paid that and now I have one to pay again for November, I can't work out how they work it out. When I paid by DD I just paid one payment on the 1st of every month, I need to start making a note I think in my budget folder 😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202 -
I can't sleep so popped in here. I'm hoping this insomnia wears off as they reduce the dosage of steroids🤞🤞next doors kids are also banging up and down the stairs so that's not helping.
Ive had a quiet day today and finally got some knitting done, I can't find the chunky wool for the other jumper so I'm carrying on with the patterned one.
I phoned work today to update them on my progress. They are referring me to occupational health for a medical, mind you they keep saying this and it never happens 🙄I told them I've got an appointment tomorrow so I've got to phone them and let them know what the plan is. I'm going to ask the doctors advice about going back to work now, I feel ok but I'm worried about doing too much too soon but it might not matter now I'm having treatment, I'm due back on Friday and have asked for a phased return which my manager was happy to organise.
Covid wise it was a better day today apart from a headache still hanging around. I get headaches anyway so it might just be a normal one for me. It's day 5 tomorrow so I'm allowed out 🎉🎉🎉 My cough has gone and I don't have a temperature so I don't have to self isolate from tomorrow ( I thought it was today but apparently you count from the day after you test positive ) I'm phoning the surgery in the morning to check that I can go in or I will have to change it to a phone appointment. I'm going to have to go to the chemist to pick up the prescription anyway but will wear a mask. If I go to the surgery I will walk there to avoid the bus.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203 -
You’re sounding more upbeat which is great. I’ve just tested positive for Covid this morning so I’m glad I read your post as I wasn’t sure what I’m supposed to do as it’s my first time. Not that I feel like going out.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Glad to hear that you are recovering well from Covid OBL and hopefully you can go back to work Friday if you feel well enough.
God I remember the insomnia with steroids. I took prednisolone when I had Bells Palsy quite a few years back and I struggled hugely with insomnia and the feeling loads of insects were crawling all over me. It was horrible but the steroids did their job and I wasn’t left with a permanent face droop like many others who had Bells did.Going self managed with the DMP sounds like a good option providing it doesn’t stress you out. As you say when your DD moves out you will lose her rent and your bills/food expenses need to take priorityI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I am still unsure about going self managed due to the possible stress of it but I will speak to SC first and see what they sayOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202
