What a helpful doctor. :) I had never heard of a pouch forming, but it does sound like a possibility.
Hope you got some rest later in the day.

She was very good, I've never heard of it either 🤷‍♀️ Apparently it's rare and only usually occurs in older people in their 70s so it might not be that but it does fit the symptoms I've got

Had an awful day yesterday and I really don't know how I got through the day at work to be honest. I felt so ill I should have phoned in sick but I'm trying not to take any time off . My neck and throat was so painful all day and I also have earache again which is driving me nuts. I took the maximum amount of painkillers I could that would allow me to function  but they didn't work that well . I came home and went to bed at 9 because I couldn't stand it any longer. Yesterday was not a NSD because I had to go and buy ibuprofen
This morning I got a letter from my surgery saying they have referred me to the Fast Track Clinic but because of the pandemic all referrals are being triaged by a consultant so they will phone me and then decide if an appointment is necessary ,so I now have to go through it all again and convince them that I need to be seen 😟it's no wonder people don't bother and then get seriously ill, I was really relieved that some one had listened and took me seriously and now I'm just anxious about getting an actual appointment again 😟
Today will be a NSD because I'm not going anywhere, I was supposed to go into town but I don't feel well enough ,I might even go back to bed. I've got work tomorrow so need to get enough rest to last the day, then it's just a long day on Sunday to get through before I have a week off, I can't wait for Sunday evening to get here
I had planned to try and decorate the living room next week but I can't see that happening while I feel like this. I'm just so fed up of feeling ill all the time,it's getting me down big time 😟

Sorry to hear you don’t feel well. What a faff with the triage. Make sure you get across how worried you are and how poorly it’s making you feel. Don’t worry about the decorating, save it for when you feel up to it. Take care and put your feet up xx

Thanks SA, it is a faff isn't it, I understand they don't want to give appointments out to people who don't need them but so far as I'm concerned if my gp is worried enough to refer me that should be enough, I think it's because I haven't lost any weight but considering you only usually lose weight if you have cancer that has been ongoing for a while I would rather be checked out before that happens  😟

I agree with you....if a GP thinks you need to see a consultant quickly then that should suffice 😡
    Sorry you’re feeling so grotty.

    Hi, OBL,

Just caught up. Glad your Dr took your seriously and referred you but again another barrier having to convince someone else that you need it. Frustrating to say the least.
My water bill has gone up by £30 a month. My water company can't get my bill right. I was paying over £40 a month for the two of us for a year and then they realised I was heavily in credit and then charged me £8 a month. Now I am back up to over £30 which again will result in a really low year next year. x
    September 2017 Debt = £25330

    Starting afresh.

You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x
  • I'm glad your doctor took you seriously OBl but how ridiculous to have to jump through another hoop to get an actual appointment. Insist on having an appointmen, don't take no for an answer. The pouch the doctor suggested does seem to fit your sypmptoms and not losing weight is a very good sign, so try not to worry.

I knew all our bills would go up a lot this year, especially council tax. I definitely blame the government (for absolutely everything) but it's just one of those things. At least we're lucky to still be working, sigh.

I'm sorry you feel unwell again at the moment and hope you feel better soon. Why are you limping?

It's very frustrating Hairy that's for sure. I am grateful that I'm still working when it comes to my bills and also that DD2 contributes to the household too which helps a lot
I have awful pain in my left hip that is causing me to limp, it's not there all the time but comes on if I'm on my feet for too long,I also can't lay on my left side because it aches too much. I've had it on and off for months and it would go away for months at a time but now it had got worse and seems to be a permanent thing at the moment 😟
