Looking to buy a new executive company car

He told us in the first paragraph of the first post?
"I want something fairly sporty, comfortable, swift and has a bit of luxury. I only want a petrol, so have narrowed my choices to either the Jaguar XE-S, Kia Stinger GT-S or the BMW 340i M Sport"0 -
I'm not sure what the difference is between an "executive, company car" and a "car".Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Not new by any means but knocks your Kia, BMW and Jag XE choices into a cocked hat.

What restrictions do your employer place on the car you use on their business?
Presumably you're looking to lease or PCP, rather than finance a purchase, so trying to second-guess depreciation becomes irrelevant, since that's somebody else's problem - you will know up-front the initial and monthly payments.Personally I don't understand why the OP is looking at these cars. In his first post he mentions that he's looking for a "executive company car" then later on he basically tells that that it won't be used for work at all. Are these really the types of car he wants for a personal runabout?
Yes, I want a nice sporty car and I won't be racking up the miles - it is what I want.He also mentioned he wanted an "executive, company car" but confused the matter later on by stating it wasn't going to be used for work/company purposes.0 -
Whichever car you end up with, can you do the custard test for us.
I'm guessing you know all about the custard test, it's been discussed on here before ;-)
Audi or BMW hmmmm0 -
Thank you all for the responses. I test drove the Kia Stinger GT-S this morning at my local dealership and overall, I was impressed. The car looks even more handsome in person, and the interior was in a class of its own. Dare I say, as good as the Jag if not better? The quality was really top notch and this was quite a pleasant surprise considering it's Kia's first attempt at making an up-scale vehicle competing with the lies of the German cars. The ride, comfort and engine were all exceptional, and so was the handling albeit I not as responsive or planted as the BMW but IMO better than the Jag, especially when you factor in price.
I have the admit probably did the BMW had the better engine, sporty handling and perhaps fun factor, but the lower cost and warranty of the Kia as well as its exclusivity really draws me in. I will need a proper think on what car I want between to two over the next week or so...0 -
You say "when you factor in price", but have you actually got monthly finance figures? What finance are you going for?
You did say you wouldn't be buying it, right up at the start, so that's the only figure that matters....or use to purchase a car on PCP/lease.
Neither lease or PCP are "purchasing". The main difference between them is that you have the option to purchase at the end of a PCP.0 -
