  • Thank you Fatrab and you were right about the hangover-ugh! I'm typing this through one eye !!!55357;!!!56834; My head is that sore- I now remember why I don't like wine!

However, I had such a great night it's worth it! It was lovely to be able to actually discuss plans with the thought of being able to afford to take part this time-usually I know i wouldn't be able to afford the trips etc. I will this summer! Nothing major, camping trips etc but nice to know I'll be able to go and won't have to worry stress about money etc.

Well I have another date with my bed, try and get rid of this fuzzy head! Ha ha.

Bonus-NSD today, as I won't be moving very far!
  • Had a call to ask if I can work some overtime tonight-of course I've had to say yes...I'm in debt!

However, My hungover body is not agreeing with me at this moment-ha ha! But needs must and all that.

My lovely mum has popped round with lots of veg (20p a bag at the supermarket) so I've motivated my hungover mess of a body and made broth and some soup which is cooling to then freeze, so that's lunches sorted for next week already and hasn't cost me a penny!

Thinking I may need another power nap, then I'll be fit for earning some money!

Nap, shower and work-betyer to earn a few quid, than stay in bed all night feeling sorry for myself! Ha ha.

Under £1000 is brilliant. You have this nailed. Looking forward to hearing your plans for when you are debt free and all of your money is your own rather than having to pay those pesky creditors.

  • April already!! Managed to get 8 hours overtime in already this month, so will keep on going with that as its clearly working! I do feel exhausted, but it will be worth it and it's not forever. Plus learning the hard way will make 100% sure I won't get myself into this mess again!

Making my soups etc last week has been really helpful and less stressful after work etc. Will make this a regular Sunday afternoon-cooking food for the week ahead and freezing them-saves me so much time, even more so when I'm tired.

Just finished for the day, so an hour of budget planning-seems to have become abit of an obsession, but suppose it's better than shopping! I'm going to try and budget to pay another £50-£60 off my debt before the end of the month (fingers crossed)
I set myself so much a week and what I don't spend goes towards paying more off debt-worked well last month. Even better when you get invited to friends for lunch, tea etc and the weather is nice, as this means I can walk and save on petrol...every little helps!

  • Hi Pidge04, thank you for taking the time to read my diary.

I'm more focussed than ever now I can see the finish line! It's been a very long time coming and the majority of my 20's was being in debt, so I refuse to spend my 30's in the same position-life's too short to deal with the stress and worry of debt! And I'm actually enjoying the challenge of living off so much money a week etc- a lot more than I thought anyway.
  • Ugh, far from feeling postive today-awful nights sleep! I'm working for a few hours this afternoon (meant to be my day off) doesn't usually bother me, but think because I'm so tired (I need my sleep) I feel unmotivated!

Going to stick some real life debt stories on YouTube in the hope this will motivate me.

I feel like that every Tuesday and Wednesday!

Chin up, you'll be fine :)

  • Thanks Fatrab, yesterday was just-ugh! Think you're right-mid week slump!

Anyway, the sun is out! This makes life so much better! Planned a walk today with a friend, stuck the kettle on for a coffee flask (don't want to be tempted to buy one from an expensive cabin whilst out!)

On days like today, when the sun is shining and life feels good it's easy to think oh well lunch out, a few drinks in a country pub after all won't hurt-done this far too many times and always when I've not been able to afford, so not today! Small picnic packed just incase we get peckish.

A couple of hours work tonight at second job too.
  • Saturday-was planning on doing nothing tonight and watching rubbish on TV, whilst regaining some energy. However, my friends sister has messaged me asking if I can babysit tonight (they've been let done by his sister) I've babysat a few times before, so it's not too bad. Try are going at 7pm and said they'll be no later than 12. Said they'll pay £20 and bung a pizza in the oven for me-free tea would of done me just fine! I might as well earn an extra £20 instead of slobbing!

I can have a lie in tomorrow bad a chill day all day so not too bad.

Will dig some games out to play with the kids tonight and they've got Netflix-even better! Infact, thinking free tea and films I wouldn't need the £20, but if they're offering ;-)

Fingers crossed all goes well! :-)
