I started a AF diary way back in 2009 and I did a run of 88 in 2010 and 119 in 2014.
In the past I've done long runs of AFDs for dieting and money. Now, TBH it's "my age" that is making me cut back on alcohol! And I've had to eliminate caffeine from my life completely too....the joy of being 50 plus...I miss the first coffee lift of the day but other than that I'm finding life fine with decaf...
I was with a friend the other day, who polished off two bottles of wine, the whole time sat with the window open! Google "wine and hot flashes".....
I've just started reading around "sugar and the menopause...."
I haven't been this "clean" since I was 13....
I did read somewhere (can't remember where) that the benefits of dry January lasted until August....which is quite useful as Stoptober seems to have become a thing...my OH has definitely reduced his consumption - he's only had 11 units since NY....my sons have definitely benefited from dry January too....What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
