What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Me too - well done Polly :T:T:T

I put on no xms pounds this December - never happened before - I usually put on 3 or 4 pounds in December - and have even gained half a stone.

And I've lost another pound since NY....

    ...pleased with myself...

Well done shaggy . That's great news. :T

I thought I'd done well just gaining a pound. It's amazing what making good choices achieves. :)

Barny, I've just worked out you've got an average of 286 AFDs per year, which is impressive!!! :) I noticed you put it in your signature - I do that, I find it helps - it acts as a constant reminder.
  • Impressive numbers in your signature Barney :T

Calling 12/16 and 2/2 for the weekend challenge please.

I'm still not finding it as difficult as I thought I would, but I am finding that I'm a bit bored, scratching around for stuff to do. I should be out raring to go when I don't have the girls, but I don't know what to do.

I'm also feeling more tired that I thought I would as well.

I'm drinking a lot of tea though and found flavoured lemonade in Tesco today.

  • Two non-AF days so far for me, I am up to 10/28 this month.
  • Oh I meant to ask if anyone else watched the documentary on C5 a couple of nights ago (think it was Thurs or Fri), I can’t recall the exact title, it was similar to ‘Drinking & Me’. C5 can be a little schlocky and sensational with some of their programmes but this was quite measured and not really exploitative. Even so, some of the stories were just awful to hear. Some of the people on there had been, by their own account, ‘drinking to die’ and I am just amazed they didn’t succeed. One guy on there started drinking as soon as he woke up and had consumed a whole bottle of vodka by 9am, then just accelerated from there. He estimated that he drank 1,000 units a week at that stage! Some of the stories really were a tough listen.
