28 for me for today, please. I'm not going out tonight, nor do I have company other than little one (I don't celebrate new year anyway) so have no need to open a bottle or anything. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -

Sadly, just 8 AFDs to add cathy.:(
Welcome to lisajane and samwise. It's great to have new people join and I'm sure there will be more very soon. I can identify with both of you. My drinking increased due to stressful job, long hours and the need to reward myself/draw a line when I eventually got home of an evening. I was at the bottle+ stage every day of the week.
Despite what this month's appalling total suggests I am now AF most weeknights and a sensible social drinker the rest of the time. That's what I wanted to achieve and this thread has been amazing. We tend to forget the techniques used to get there. Distraction is definitely a great help. I like visualisation too where I tell myself that when I get in I'm going straight to the kettle, making a cuppa and relaxing on the sofa with trash tv (or whatever suits you) and then feel smug when I get through an AF evening.:D
Happy New Year to you all. :A0
