    Update for me

    20/20

Hopefully an alcohol free night tonight and the target will be beaten!
I havehad a awful cold since 22nd December, and that's probably the only reason I have hit the target!

Welcome Samwise the Frugal , and I have put you down for 200 in the annual challenge, as requested :) and PriceySOS as TF. :)
  • 28 for me for today, please. I'm not going out tonight, nor do I have company other than little one (I don't celebrate new year anyway) so have no need to open a bottle or anything. x

If people can give me their final tallies for December I'll do the annual results for this year :)
  • I'm calling in 25/21 for my final total - couple of drinks last night and planning to have a few tonight as well. Then firmly back on the wagon!

Sadly, just 8 AFDs to add cathy.:(

Welcome to lisajane and samwise. It's great to have new people join and I'm sure there will be more very soon. I can identify with both of you. My drinking increased due to stressful job, long hours and the need to reward myself/draw a line when I eventually got home of an evening. I was at the bottle+ stage every day of the week.

Despite what this month's appalling total suggests I am now AF most weeknights and a sensible social drinker the rest of the time. That's what I wanted to achieve and this thread has been amazing. We tend to forget the techniques used to get there. Distraction is definitely a great help. I like visualisation too where I tell myself that when I get in I'm going straight to the kettle, making a cuppa and relaxing on the sofa with trash tv (or whatever suits you) and then feel smug when I get through an AF evening.:D

Happy New Year to you all. :A
