Thanks for putting up the annual targets for next year cathybird :T

Declaring early for today on 11/10 please Shaggy.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas - ours was fairly quiet but still ate too much - did have drinks right from Christmas Eve through to yesterday but sensible quantities consumed ;)

Need to have a think about my January target - may try for a bit higher than usual but don’t want to be too unrealistic.

Well, apart from the odd blip (about 2 weeks in total) I have barely touched alcohol for over a year. From a daily 2 bottles of wine (approx) my consumption is well down.

I had a scare a few weeks ago with severe chest pain & turning yellow. Thank goodness it was gallstones & not what I imagined :eek: Needless to say, the shock has put me off going back to my old ways.

I reckon I have saved about £3000 in the last year, unbelievable:D
Tallyhoh! Stopped Smoking October 2000. Saved £29382.50 so far!

Limping in with 14/15. I thought 15 would be an easily achievable target, seems I got that wrong!

    My pleasure sukeyboo :)

It was not an AFD for me today, I finished off some mulled wine, which to be honest wasn't very alcoholic as when I make it it does simmer for quite a long time. That's my last non-AFD day for this year and I am pleased about that.

    15/15 AFDs today
  • Best wishes for 2019 everyone.
I'm still sober (11 years +) and it's still better than my boozing life. My drinking years were sometimes fun, mostly ordinary, and sometimes horrendous. Not waking up with a tight knotted stomach (anxiety) is wonderful. I never knew you could achieve peace of mind without 3/4 drinks.

I hope you all meet your goals and will check in from time to time.
