What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Oh dear, but I've slipped a bit. In that I drank Thursday and I drank Sunday.

I don't get completely silly, but I do pack away a lot more than I would imagine is considered a simple "tipple."

All I do is dust myself down and try again I guess.

I'm up to 1/5 for the SNC, 4 for December and 154 for the year though, so have to look at the positives!

CuppaTea. I finally noticed your message and have messaged you back!

  • I had work drinks plus a leaving do yesterday - I did drink a glass of Prosecco at the leaving do, but I didn't enjoy it very much! Stuck with AF drinks in the evening.

    Calling 11/25 today :)

    Morning,

Calling an early 4/5 SNC and 8/20

Definitely not drinking this week. I've been put up in a hotel by my work and the meal allowance hardly covers the cost of food never mind a drink on top! And with me being a tight Scotsman there's no way I'm being left out of pocket! :D
You can have results or excuses, but not both.

Morning all, 10/21 for me today thanks. :)
  • Thanks for the really good advice on sleeping.

HB - the caffeine is really important, but I already gave it up a long time ago, like you I had massive withdrawal symptoms. I have the odd cup of caffeinated tea when I can't get decaff, but I carry my own teabags round with me. I do love reading but find I am always going to bed too late to be able to read :(
As you say Fatrab, it's whatever works for you. I know my OH would winge a lot if I was listening something in bed, he is always last to bed no matter what time I go. It seems I am the prompt to start getting there so I suppose I have to be more disciplined in future.
Glad you have something that works AnnieG, I find background noise very relaxing too, I am sat here typing with a CD of sea noises and I like to have this every morning.

    3/5 SNC

Works dos can be such a minefield. We've got our Christmas do this Friday, and while I'm looking forward to it in one sense I'm dreading it in another! I'm going to try to be sensible and keep it as low-alcohol as I can. Congrats Glenda for having such self-control. Shaggy, hope your AF works do went well!!
