If this is true and the police were called, they probably wet themselves laughing.
You mean pooped themselves laughing?0 -
Fair enough, you don't agree with my initial call to the police, but I am not a troll and I was just asking for advice, that's what this forum is for, and I've had good advice previously from here.
I think it was wrong for someone to describe you as a troll: it was as unjustifiable as visiting A&E with a head cold.... or calling the police about finding poo under the floor boards.
As Mossfarr says, things like this aren't unheard of in the building trade. However, it reflects badly on the quality of builder you have employed, because the vast majority of tradespersons would never do this and a good site foreman wouldn't just pass the buck.
Me, I'd have taken photos, cleaned-up and sent the print-outs to the head of the company concerned in the hope of receiving a discount.0 -

That bit of the post - and "cleaned-up" might well have translated into = paid someone else to clean up and the bill for that would have been included as well.
Don't forget to Facebook shame him (I'd probably put it in semi-jokey fashion of "Neanderthals I've known....").0 -

There again, in my household there's been a strict division of labour since the 1980s. I get to deal with all the sick and my wife deals with the poo, so this one would be no problem for me! :rotfl:0 -

Well I cleaned up what was there last night, so it's not that I'm expecting someone else to do it (or to pay for it).
I can see that people don't agree with me calling the police, that's fair enough, I just felt like It's the worst kind of thing hiding something like that purposely where it wouldn't be found, especially in my kitchen with all the bugs that can be harboured on poo. I was actually really upset and it seemed the right thing to do.
I guess if no one admits it I'll just have to leave reviews online and just never trust workmen alone again.
P.s. I'm not a troll, I wish this was a joke :rotfl:The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.0 -
They could just have used the toilet, although I have heard of people refusing workmen this facility.
So either they were refused, or they did it on purpose.
Which do you think it was?
Just leave a bad review.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I had the whole bathroom removed to remodel - but purposely left the toilet in place even though it meant the plaster wasn't 100%, so the workmen had a toilet.
I had thought I had been a pretty reasonable client but obviously not in their opinion. Well you live and learn - will never leave a builder unsupervised again. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.0 -
That might be the natural reaction of a person who's not had children or animals, but I'd just get on with a job like that.
I can see that :rotfl:
Not having had either children or animals means I can stick to "I don't do yukky":rotfl:. Quite okay about paying other people - if they're willing to do it for money = I'm willing to pay them to do it.0
