    Never
    ever
    Ever
Get rid of the desire to climb a tree or run through the sprinklers

Two reminders for a productive day
You can do anything, but that doesn't mean you do everything
You can do everything but that doesn't mean you do anything

Become a priority in your own life

Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself

Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love

May my heart be kind, my mind fierce and my spirit brave

The optimist is wrong as often as the pessimist, but is far happier

You only have so much emotional energy a day. Don't fight battles that don't matter.

You don't have to be positive all the time. It's perfectly okay to feel sad, angry, annoyed, frustrated, scared or anxious. Having feelings doesn't make you a 'negative person'. It makes you human.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

I will bravely bundle up, and may possibly get the bottoms of my boots wet in the drifts of 1/4cm of snow we had overnight.

School is not closed - kids are not happy
Snow did not greet their cheery (grumpy) faces when they opened their blinds.
They might just write a letter of complaint (well, email )

Pasties cooked this morning as I could not be faffed last night.

Let's see how beastly the beastie is today......

Oh! Mothernerd - I discovered a new thing this week. Tinned ready fried onions in Sainz. I had a total !!!!!! moment. It had a reduced label (40p) so it caught my eye. I have been shaking my head ever since. Didn't look at the ingredients label. Was too shocked.

Thank you for all the hugs (gratefully received) and for the onion suggestions. I was wondering if a mixer would do the job - Beloved has one. I gave mine to DS2 as Billy Blender did most things and I was faster mixing cakes manually than using a mixer (that's probably changed now - we will adjust, I just need retuning). Siebrie we had one of those when I was a child - one of those K-Tel things that was advertised on tv (way before shopping channels). In the years when we went to car boot sales nearly every stall would have one.

Beloved also has a grater - an electric one with different gauges of 'grate' and I wondered if that had a suitable attachment. Will ponder further - at least I can chop what I have in the house and see how far I get.

What about a food processor Mothernerd? They chop, grate, mix cakes etc, and you only need one device, plus its attachments. They don't have to be expensive, either.

Mothernerd - I don't think that if you resorted to ready chopped onions from the supermarket it counts as being lazy - it's what works for you.

I've got a handblender from Sains which comes with a mini blender - the handle of the blender goes on top to power the chopping blade. Also has a mini blender jug. Kind of a 3 in 1 thing and super small for storage. Cost me £15 from Sains and I love it - got rid of large food processor and big blender jug and just have this mini thing and my Kitchenaid mixer :)

Spent at Tesc0 last night - got some good YS items and freezer is now full again :) Also checked my Tesc0 clubcard vouchers before we went and discovered I had a £10 one which expires 28/02/2018 - so we used that on the Ys items :T

lauren - glad the damage wasn't too bad on your car, the police don't like to do anything about anything hence the state we are in.

We have snow here but the roads are clear so kids are in school but they moaned about it, the sky is very white but the forecast just says light snow showers off and on today.

  • dolly I was amazed they were driving erratically then came into our lane & hit our car, refused to stop and then when we tried to follow them they sped off straight over a junction without looking to see if anyone was coming & the police basically said make a statement but we wont do anything about it!! & I said on your head be it if they seriously hurt anyone because I have told you they are a danger to others on the road!!!
