    Foxholes Thank you.

    Unfortunately I have already had my back payment, it is what has paid for Paris pretty much, HOWEVER it does mean I can afford to eat ha. My childcare situation changes is March and my bills is going up to £1120 per month ( I only work 3 days) and this means I get 20% off that.

    I have two help to buys at the mo, one for hub one for me, and I thought i might have to either sack one off or not feed my kids ha ha, it is a HUGE relief!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Sorry to have taken so long to do this just had a lot going on with illness and have a funeral on Monday anyway here goes

    Always pay to debts or savings first, all debt has been paid if anything is left at the end of the month that will be paid to the debt

    Organiseyour budgets and stick to them. done :)

    Reserve £5 given to charity

    Environment Be aware of your surroundings and use all your senses. Be alert to danger but also to beauty. Will do this during half term

    Stock take done

    Takeaways I have two birthdays my partners and my step daughter but will be doing one takeaway for both since there only one day apart :rotfl:

    Always take snacks and drinks for outings Always do

    Do something different. Trying to but hard with strong anxiety just now.

    Valentine I told my partner to leave it see if he listens

    Exercise 5 times a week please. Will do

    NSDs I will try very hard for 18

    Throw it away. Will be clearing out this next week coming

    Use what you have.I am using up the paint I have already bought and Painting the back Hall

    Frogs and Elephants. I have dealt with one elephant already but still some frogs to deal with

    I have probably missed something so will try my best to do all task on front of the thread wish me luck :rotfl:

    Do you give them pocket money? I told mine I would happily buy them the drinks, crisps, snacky bits they want in their lunchboxes, but come the weekend/evening, if they want snacks then they are to use their money. Otherwise they would eat their way through the pantry and I would be shopping every day. Not sure how old yours are. Their money does not go far in the corner shop. :rotfl:

    They do get spending money and they do buy their own snacks but it is the amount we are eating and all the rubbish it is producing which does not sit well with me.

    Hope your smalls feel better soon, f0xh0les. DS2 was back to school today after a restricted/ light diet yesterday :)

    Always pay to debts or savings first, live on what is left. - car & 0% CCs on direct debit. 'Regular' spending CC cards always paid off in full by start of month. Once kitchen/ workmen fully paid for this month we will know what (if any!) we have left and that can go to OH's 0% CC. Any extra monies will also go there - small amount of cashback claimed and added to kitchen fund at mo - as any excess is going to CC anyway :)

    First of February until the 28th, inclusive.
    Organise your budgets before the start of the month and stick to them.
    * Food 95.98/450 - need to add in receipt for YS items OH bought on way home yesterday.......
    * Diesel (me) - 0/65
    * Toiletries - 0/10
    * Clothing - 0/100 (DS1 desperately in need of new jeans)
    * Social - 0/50
    * Half term - 0/75
    * Money in - 3.40/50

    Reserve a small portion of your budget (cash or goods) for the food bank or charity of your choice. - ok. Monthly DD to WWT. Should be attending a charity coffee/ cake morning mid month. Also £1 in aid of charity for non-school uniform last week + £1.50 for a non-uniform day tomorrow. Also a small bag of toiletries to foodbank

    Environment Be aware of your surroundings and use all your senses. Be alert to danger but also to beauty. -

    Stock take your cupboards, fridge and freezer. Base your meal plan upon them and your shopping list on what is needed. Stick to your list. - desperately in need to top up supplies once kitchen is in! In the meantime we are shopping for little bits 'n pieces and eating stuff up from freezer
    Takeaways are forbidden (unless as part of family entertainment night/ birthday choice). Coffee shops, vending machines, works canteens etc are also banned (pastoral exceptions). may have family takeaway as social if budget unspent elsewhere.

    Always take your lunch to work and snacks and drinks for outings or appointments (may excuse one trip with children or allow ice creams etc if part of the experience). - have half term budget- will take lunches if applicable but something like ice creams may fall into budget here

    Do something different. If nothing changes, nothing changes. We want to see small positive changes which become habits and then just part of who you are. Pick 2 or 3 things you want to change. Start with one small change and after five successful days, add another.

    Valentine Who? after 30+ years together we don't really do Val now :) (although I may buy some of the flowers for myself afterwards if they have been reduced :D

    Exercise 5 times a week please. It should be commensurate with your abilities and current state of health (be careful after flu/ viruses). Getting outside helps with mental health too. - 3 weeks into flu/ post flu chesty cough/ fatigue/ poor breathing. Not doing any cv exercise until much better. Feeling better each day, so should have some luck here after half term. Have done between 10 and 14k+ steps every day this week.
    NSDs are staying at 18 this month. that is still 10 days available for necessary shopping. There would be far fewer opportunities in the forest. Exceptions for medical care, petrol (should be within budget), bus fares, ys bargains and milk for greent. :D 3/18 -
    Throw it away. We should all be aware that there is no such place as 'away' and recycle or donate appropriately but we all have too much stuff and even if you are ill, getting the rubbish and recycling helps slow the descent into chaos. - looking to remove 150 items this month - whether sell/ donate/ recycle/ bin - 9/150

    Use what you have. Fix something (for free if possible). we need to update our house to do list this month - some jobs are being done as we have workmen in for the kitchen so are having them do some other bits whilst here (more cost efficient :)) My main focus is a big clean and tidy- lots of dust spread everywhere from the works
    Refuel properly. Feb is a month of re-charging for me :)

    Elephants and Frogs. .Am sure I can find some frogs. An elephant I need to tackle is getting OH's co accounts for the year ready for the accountant

    Very tired today after 2 (short) shifts at work and then walking home from work in the cold. Also the work going on is getting me down (noise/ dirt/ dust/ people in my house/ snags) - have to focus on the end goal and tell myself it will be worth it! :)

    ETA: Today I am grateful for:
    feeling better, good workmen, YS doughnuts, hugs from DS3, cups of tea
    I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul
    Repaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NIL

    Donation to foodbank - done

    Diesel - 0 / £65

    I have lots in, and don't anticipate spending over the weekend :)

    Your comment in the first post, mothernerd, about houses getting a little shabby when debt-busting rings very true here. But the way you phrased it made me feel like I could actually get some free improvements done (garden bits, painting...). Thank you!

    Today I am grateful for a truly awesome journey home where I walked off one bus onto my next one with nary a pause in between - twice!, for a dry day with sunshine, for getting a 15min workout done before going to get dd, for dh having a good meeting, for dd lurving the HSM production put on by a local secondary sch, for my kettle which shines a blue light when it is switched on.

    Hugs turtles, just keep plodding and hope all the poorlies are better soon.

    Today I am grateful that

    I was awake in time to go to the doctor's

    That I have a diagnosis and can now start to plan around that

    That I sought help before the problem was too bad and have avoided surgery

    For our wonderful NHS with medicine and treatment 'free at the point of need'

    I did not cry - thought about it but decided it would not help (sometimes it does) so I moved to the next stage

    For the painkillers that gave me a restful sleep

    For the music I played which made me get up and dance

    I forgave one of the songs (Why worry by Dire Straits). I had it on drip feed in the week before my wedding (instead of running away as fast as I could). I blamed the song and had forgotten how lovely it was.

    I let the music flow through me, enjoyed all the memories

    I noticed the way my body moved. Probably not how I look from the viewer's point of view but I feel like a ballerina when I dance

    I noticed how all the parts of my body moved, felt all the little bones in my feet, the graceful sweep of my arm, the little wave of my hand

    Made a committment to trying new things. Horse riding is probably out (ouch to the jolting) but there are loads of things I have never done which I can try

    I will never be able to do the cancan again but there are lots of things I can still do - and lots of skills I am going to learn to do with my left hand and arm

    The pain so far has not been unbearable, just slightly disruptive

    I am alive

    I will survive

    I will wear red

    I will enjoy my son's wedding and relish every new experience.

    I am strong and resilient
    My mission in life is not only to survive,but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

    house cleaned, recipe folder sorted & Pizza dough made for tomorrow.

    off to start another of my unread books :) really enjoyed my last one, couldn't put it down last night which is crazy as it took me about 3 years to pick it up.

    put my name down for over time next week so Im working Mon- Fri! boo. however we need the cash really as kids will need new shoes next month I think.

    greatful for- my eldest doing well with his potty training (although a little sad as he is undeniably a child now & not a baby & its breaks my heart its going so fast) , for my wonderful friend buying him a worry eater as he keeps having bad dreams & for my husband helping my clean the house
