It’s all coming out of the same pot Beanie. He always has to add on extras if there are any available. At least he can’t insist on extra legroom now he’s disabled. He’s the same when we go out for a meal, he always has to have side orders on top of the main meal.Bought 3 ornamental grasses from Lidl as well as a few food bits. Used my £2 off coupon 💰 Well on the way to getting the £10 off one at the end of the month.Other MSE things I’ve done today: set up a Regular Saver account with The Coventry, interest rate not fantastic but reasonable at 1%. Can pay up to £500 a month into it. Matures after a year. Already have my emergency fund in an ISA with them. Have also set up a regular overpayment amount with the additional borrowing part of my mortgage. It will shave £61 interest off and shorten the term from 2 yrs 10 months to 1 yr 5 months.2 more things crossed off the to do list.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Hooray for holidays to look forward to for you both. They’ll be here before you know it 👍January spends - £587.583

Mr SA is driving me nuts tonight. Questioning have I booked the airport lounge, have I booked him a mobility scooter, has the room got a fridge, has it got a TV with English channels, etc, etc.I’m waiting for him to ask if he’s got a side order of onion rings with his on flight meal. Our holidays are never just the price of holiday. Have stressed to him, we’re not going for another 7 months, the lounge and scooter can be left until nearer the time 😩
On the plus side I’ve priced up an annual insurance policy for both of us, declaring Mr SA’s various medical conditions and making sure there is sufficient Covid cover, £61 for a whole year, thought that was pretty good. Not so long ago I couldn’t get an annual insurance policy to cover him, now he’s classed as cured as it’s over 5 years since his last chemo. Now it’s just about covering him for the disabilities.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

Roughly a fiver a month… at that price make the most of it and book more holidays 🤣I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Glad you have some holidays booked - if anyone deserves something to look forward to, you do
Only the best for Mr SA with his extras.4 -
Travel insurance is so cheap. It does always make me wonder why some people don't get it. Our annual policy is £15 for the two of us. We have had more than our monies worth back from it in the last few years!!
Only another 7 months of Mr SA nagging you5 -
Hooray it's Friday 😁
Finishing work at lunchtime today, I've got some flexi to use up. Won't be a NSD as I've treated myself to having my nails done this afternoon - have warned Mr SA not to come and stare at me through the beauty salon window this time. I've got a few bits of cleaning to get done before I set off so will do these after work.
Have been for a run this morning, well more interval training, using a Run/Walk interval training podcast - walk for 1 minute, run for 1 minute for 45 minutes. I use quite an old podcast called Motion Traxx, there are some brilliant training podcasts on there. They stopped making them about 10 years ago but they're still relevant.
Mr SA has suddenly decided he want to go swimming, probably brought on by booking the holidays. He does this every so often, makes a big fuss about it, goes a couple of times then doesn't go again for months. He used to be a really good swimmer but has lost the knack since the brain tumour - he keeps trying from time to time but can't seem to get the co-ordination. He's got to renew his concessionary pass so that will be £2.50 spent on his part.
Some big travel announcements due from the government today, which is what I was expecting, hence booking my holidays before prices start to soar.
Have a good one 😎I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
