Thanks all, I’m really pleased with it. I think I’ve captured the Mediterranean vibe I wanted to. The new pillows arrived this afternoon, went for the Premier Inn ones, they are massive and such good quality.@Honeysucklelou2 no signs of going back to the office until at least September. They are prioritising people who can’t do their job from home productively (primarily customer service) and people who live alone.@Cherryfudge that will never happen. His sister pays lip service only, she’s full of concern about him as long as she doesn’t have to do anything. She rarely visits, she rings him every day but that’s the extent of her involvement. Was talking to our postman today and he remembers me from school, we were in the same class. Talk about a small world.
DS is ‘suffering’ after his Covid jab, he has a sore arm, oh dear 🤣🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
On the gardening front, I bought some Basil seeds and foolishly left Mr SA in charge of the planting. He lost the seeds 😐 so I bought another pack and planted them myself. A pot in the greenhouse is full of small leaves which Mr SA thought were weeds. On further investigation today it transpires the ‘weeds’ are Basil. So I am now awash with Basil. Also some other unidentified plants have appeared, turns out they are sweet corn. I didn’t buy any sweet corn seeds 🤔I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Happy Sunday, very cloudy here at the moment but dry.
The dog has been sick on one of my new pillows 😩 Not much thankfully not gone through to the protector.Going to go to the local park a bit further away this morning. Hoping not to spend anything but it has a little garden centre and also has a fair at the moment. Would like to hit double figures for June NSDs. It will clock up some steps for me and the dog if nothing else. This afternoon I want to do something towards sorting out the little room off the bedroom prior to decorating it. It has very thick textured wallpaper which I suspect may be hiding a multitude of sins so no plans to strip it just a lick of paint. It’s only going to be used as storage. The plan is to do a bit of something everyday until it’s done. I also need to shampoo the hall and stairs carpet which has got a bit grubby after recent workmen comings and goings.Tonight’s dinner will be a concoction of assorted leftovers in the fridge involving chickpeas, avocado and salmon. The chickpea and avocado bit is a salad recipe from the Deliciously Ella app then I’ll bung a piece of roast salmon on top to make it more of a dinner than lunch. Mr SA will be having pork steak, potatoes and veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Took the dog to the other local park, the fair was packing away but there was an outdoor yoga class and outdoor Zumba class going on. I’m afraid I spent £13.97 on plants in the garden centre 😐 Almost hit my 15,000 steps target in one fell swoop. Here’s a photo of the dog enjoying one of the wild flower parts of the park, she’s having a snooze now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
