Now they look nice.
We had a Howdens kitchen in our last house. It was a good quality kitchen and still looked good when we moved out after 13 years.
I don't think the Symphony kitchen the developers put in this house will last as long!4 -
I didn’t know Howdens did wardrobes either. The wardrobe doors are very similar to my kitchen ones. I just need to find a dressing table and drawers to match - I usually buy all my furniture from Cotswold Company as their stuff is very good quality and comes ready assembled. Will need to give the house a good clean today, it’s been neglected a bit this week. The hall and stairs carpet needs cleaning but might as well leave that until the painting and flooring are done.I don’t think we’ll be going far with the dog today if the weather is bad again. I need to nip to the local shops for some bread and a paper but that’s all spends wise.

The wardrobes look lovely S_A. I can't wait to see it when it's finished. I could do with that building in my bedroom as I have two single wardrobes just now and they're not really big enough. Another thing to add to the wish list to save up for.4

Great wardrobes! And having a ‘block’ of mirrors there is ‘extra space’ and light. I bet you’re looking forward to moving back in.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I was adamant I didn’t want the mirrors too close to my side of the bed. My hair is like a bird’s nest before I wash it, don’t want to scare myself first thing 😆 As they’re sliding, they can be changed around. I’m procrastinating about the look I want for the bedroom though, just can’t decide 🤔 That’s why I’m going for white walls, I can add colour with the duvet. The painter has confirmed he’s starting Monday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Forgot to say, I had an email from BBC Good Food magazine yesterday with details of a virtual wine tasting event next month. 3 full sized bottles of wine - red, white and rose, 2 Dartington crystal glasses plus the event for £20. Thought that was good value so ordered yesterday afternoon. Arrived this morning, that was quick. Just need to resist the wine until the event 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Morning, happy Sunday
Hoping the weather will stay dry today, got loads of washing. Need to wipe down the woodwork in the bedroom ready for the painter. Might take the dog for a walk somewhere other than the park across the road. Will be NSD9 of May anyway, not spending today. Tonight’s dinner will be roast chicken for Mr SA and DD, nut roast for me. Got some pizza leftover from last night for my lunch.I’m hoping we’ll be able to start moving things back into the bedroom by the end of the week. It’s a shame the new bed isn’t coming until July. I think I’m going to use my holiday pot to buy the rest of the things for the bedroom then put the money back when my regular saver matures at the end of June.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
