Morning, happy Tuesday
Plastering will be done today. Phoned a painter yesterday, he’s really busy but trying to squeeze us in. Would be good to get it done next week. Technically I could do it if it came to the push. Just need to skim coat the plaster first with diluted paint, then basically paint. It’s not as if I haven’t done it before.Got a plumber coming out tomorrow to repair the tap, can’t get it to budge and don’t want to make it worse. It’s in an awkward place too, right underneath a cupboard.Had a walk down to the big Mr T this morning, more for a walk really, spent £3 on a few bits we need. 7,000 steps clocked up before work, happy with that.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
It’s coming together nicely you will be all done before you know it4

Can’t get a painter, they’re all booked up. Have put a message on the local FB group where I got the recommendation for the joiner from. The joiner is also trying to find someone. Mr SA is adamant we can do it between us, a thought that fills me with dread. I’d probably attempt it on my own but can’t face the thought of Mr SA stumbling about dripping paint everywhere. I’ve watched a You Tube tutorial on how to do the mist coat and what equipment you need, it looks pretty straightforward. I’d rather someone professional do it though, especially on new plaster. I know Mr SA’s only thoughts are the money it’ll save not the time or stress involved.Stop press, got a painter coming to have a look tomorrow, someone the joiner found.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Good news that the plastering, electrics and wardrobes will be finished on Friday. I think that's really quick.Fingers crossed on the painter. Probably better to go with a tradesman rather than having Mr SA getting involved!😱Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Good news on the painter it’s brilliant the amount you have got done it’s all coming together nicely i agree it doesn’t bear thinking about Mr SA doing the painting I think you would end up tearing your hair out6

I’m so cross with Mr SA tonight he didn’t make it to the toilet yet again 😩 Cue mop bucket and disinfectant. In the hall and on the stair carpet yet again. So sick of this. Had just sat down to eat, food now almost cold. He appears totally unconcerned 😡 I try so hard to keep the house clean and spend a lot of money to make it look nice, feel like I’m fighting a losing battle.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
