Morning all, happy Sunday 🥳
Up early this morning, thought it was Monday. So happy to discover it’s Sunday. Not so nice surprise to find the mixer tap in the kitchen is leaking and a bulb needs replacing in the ceiling spotlights. I can change the bulb myself obviously but have never fixed a tap, might look on You Tube, I’m sure it can’t be that hard. I’ve got the BG Homecare cover will see if it’s included.Today we have to finish off clearing the bedroom ready for the builder to start at 8.30 tomorrow. All that needs doing is the bed needs to come downstairs, TV needs taking off the wall, curtains and pole need removing, that’s the lot.Need to take the dog for a long walk, weather permitting. I want a change of scenery from the park across the road even though she loves it.Have loads of little admin bits to do like sorting the house insurance, need to make a list and get them done this coming week.
Today should be NSD7 of May.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -

The leaky tap has got worse. It’s covered by the Homecare but the excess is £60, surely it wouldn’t cost that just to replace a washer or whatever, will probably be cheaper to just get a plumber out.Took the dog a long walk this morning to a park further away. Mr SA was whittling for a bottle of water all the way there but we were so early nothing was open.Had a right ordeal getting the bed downstairs which involved a lot of shouting on my part. Should’ve done it yesterday when DS was here. Anyway it’s done now. Mr SA wanted to put his bedside table in there too but I said no. He’s sulking he’s got nowhere to put his bottle of water and lypsyl. I’m not letting him have a table of assorted carp in the living room, it’s bad enough having the bed in there, although he thinks it’s great. Trying not to get stressed by reassuring myself it’ll be worth it in the end.I’m shattered now🥱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Having watched a You Tube tutorial I’m confident I can fix the tap if it is the washer. I need an O ring so will nip to local DIY shop tomorrow. If that doesn’t work then I’ll have to call someone out.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

As if it isn’t enough with the kitchen tap flooding everywhere every time I use it, Mr SA tripped up the stairs with his urinal and has spilt it in the hallway and on the stairs carpet 😩 Not boding well for a couple of weeks of sleeping downstairs. Even DD has mentioned his constant going to the loo. Drives me nuts 😩On a lighter note the dog is like a pig in clover with the bed downstairs. She’s fast off and snoring already 😆
It will be worth it in the end 🤞🙏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9
