Well one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. Just seen a plea on a local FB group for grey slabs to complete a path. Just told him he’s very welcome to collect.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

So true SA.....I’m amazed at the things that get snapped up on our local free fb exchange page. Last week there was a load of ends complete with nails from pallets....all the decent wood had been cut out and about half a dozen people wer after them 😲January spends - £587.586

He’s coming to have a rummage tomorrow 😆 Told him he’ll have to dig deep under the wardrobes and carpet 🤣 He’s ideally looking for aged concrete, the slabs are 30 plus years old so think they fit the bill. On one hand I enjoy filling skips with junk I want rid of on the other hand I really hate sending stuff to landfill.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

The bloke came to look at the slabs but they’re not what he was after. DS and the GKs have been and gone. Been an expensive day as I’ve ordered the bed from Premier Inn - not a used one by the way 🤣🤣 Thought I ought to in case it takes weeks. Hopefully won’t come before the bedroom is finished, takes up to 40 days. Also sponsored the GKs for something they’re doing at school and gave them £10 each to take on holiday next week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Forgot to say I’ve also ordered 2 raised vegetable planters from Aldi. Can you see the £ signs flying about 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9
