It's very bright and sunny here today SA - hope it's the same up in Notts. It'll be lovely having the GKs playing in the garden after so long. The dog will be excited - she loves them doesn't she!🐶

It’s very sunny and definitely warm enough to sit outside. I took the dog on the park and regretted wearing my thick coat, I was far too hot. No doubt the GKs will want to play on DD’s computer she’s got a proper gaming set up and they love it. The dog will go mad when she sees them. DS wants to show off his new car, he’s really pleased with it.

Have been to the local shops and was looking forward to a browse through the books at the charity shop but sadly they hadn’t got anything worth buying, load of rubbish really. I’ve got 85 books on my bookshelf to be read so won’t go short 😆

My dh fitted a hive for my ds last year. It made life a lot easier for him.....we’ve been having boiler trouble with the boiler not speaking to the thermostat so we are thinking he might fit one here too.

Think with us getting the van we need to get a Hive as we won't have a regular weekend routine to set the heating to.

We never bothered at the old house and must have wasted so much gas heating an empty house.

I’ve had a lovely day in the garden with DS and the GKs. It was so warm. They’re coming again next week as DIL and DGD are having their hair cut at the hairdressers at the end of our road. DS helped Mr SA sorting out the pond and it looks so much better now. 

Just cooking butternut squash and lentil curry for my dinner and relaxing with a G&T 🍹

Morning, happy Sunday 

Have been up since 5.30 - I know, on a Sunday 🥱 I’m blaming it on the mornings getting lighter earlier. 

Looks like another beautiful sunny day out there. Plans for today are to make a start on painting the wooden garden bench and shed. We could do with going to a garden centre that sells aquatic plants for the pond but will leave that for another day. There is a really good garden centre within walking distance but I want to make the most of the good weather and get this painting done. The dog will have to make do with the park today which she prefers anyway.  

Defrosting a piece of nut roast for my dinner tonight, will have with steamed baby potatoes and veg. Mr SA is having roast beef. Need to do a meal plan for the coming week.

Should be NSD 8 of April today.

I’m quite pleased with the garden bench was brown now Mediterranean blue. Going to paint the fence behind the same colour.
