He is either really polite or grateful for someone else doing the cooking because he doesn't complain about the standard of the food 🤣🤣🤣5 -

The homemade naan bread was lovely. Made extra mixture for dumplings to go in the aubergine arrabbiata stew I’m making tomorrow. Loving the recipes from the BBC Good Food magazine.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

My husband will eat most things I put in front of him (he says he cant cook but he seems to manage ok if I am not around) but the comment comes back I am not keen on that, meaning dont cook it again. His most annoying habit is he will suddenly halve the amount he eats. No idea why but he just loses his apetite for a week or two but he never gives me any warning and I never know how long it will last. I am sure sometimes he goes hungry as I havent noticed he is ready to get back to normal. He thin starts making himself supper about midnight after I have gone to bed so I come down to a pile of washing up in the morning which I hate.

I’ll admit I don’t cook often but was always told as a kid cooking is a life skill everyone should have - shouldn’t be dependent on someone else etc. Maybe just my parents but one of my senior staff, just broke up with his Mrs and I kid you not don’t think he’s ate anything other than microwave meals since haha, I think it’s !!!!!! hilarious tbt.
@RelievedSheff haha my dad is a chef, good one too but nothing he likes more than having a meal cooked for him and would 100% enjoy a meal cooked by someone else. Just like you with the farm shops/ local ingredients etc. 100 wouldn’t worry about cooking for your chef friend tbh.4 -
My dh used to be a chef and so did I when we were first married. That’s where we met in the kitchen at work. Now he has time at home he happily cooks and has looked after me well when I’ve been out of action. The trouble is we are both a bit of a control freak in the kitchen, So if he is cooking I leave him to it and if I am cooking I throw him out of my kitchen😂😂😂 My dad always enjoyed cooking as did my brothers yet dh dad couldn’t boil an egg...I was shell shocked when I first met him.....I’d never come across anyone like him.....in my house we all pulled our weight....he wanted waiting on hand and foot....it’s a good job he passed away before his mum or he’d have starved and wouldn’t have a clue how to wash or hoover😳😳
Dh has made the naan breads with yoghurt and they are delicious.January spends - £587.585 -
Happy Sunday all
Was up with the dog at 4.30 am, she decided she wanted to do a detailed inspection of the garden, she was outside for ages 🥱
Today will be NSD 4 of February. Have already been to the park with the dog. The lads that were on there yesterday left a terrible mess so I picked most of it up and put it in the bin. I get fed up of local people complaining about litter left behind on the local FB group, posting photos of it but not actually doing anything about it. I just pick it up rather than walk past it. Anyway that’s my good deed for the day 😇
Need to do finances today, I think I’ve hit my target of £30 underspend but just need to check. £30 underspend is my weekly target and this will go into the mortgage overpayment pot. New 4 week budget period starts tomorrow.Going to shampoo the hall carpet today, I know how to live 😆 I’d like to start decluttering but as the charity shops are closed there’s nowhere for it to go. I’ll just be moving it from one place to another. Already got a couple of bin bags of stuff to go.Cooking a chicken in the Ninja again tonight for Mr SA and DD. I’m making aubergine parmigiana with dumplings from yesterday’s naan bread dough for myself. There’s a bitter cold wind today and it’s trying to snow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
