Also forgot to say that you recommended the page Mr Lumpy and Friends on FB so I checked it out and am now hooked on that too 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1207 -
It's a great idea to go for promotion. Happy to share hints and tips with application/interviews etc as I'm one of those "HR people".Hope the window people arrive in the morning.7

Morning all, happy Tuesday 😀
Thank you blackcats, I'm in the Civil Service and applying for jobs isn't a straightforward process. You have to be good at writing competencies. Someone with absolutely no experience whatsoever but good at writing competencies could get through to interview. My manager is an experienced sifter and we're going to look at the competencies required, if I don't have them she'll find me some work that will get me them. Anyway a work in progress.
Fingers crossed the windows/door will be done today. My home phone wasn't unplugged I'd just got the ringer switched off, now switched on just in case.
Not looking forward to spending the day with Mr SA in the same room while I'm working. Fortunately only got one meeting today. He has been warned he won't be able to watch war films in the background.
It will be a spending day today as have a Mr M delivery coming later this morning. I chanced my arm a bit and ordered stuff I didn't think I'd get but looking at an email from them this morning it looks like a miracle has occurred and there's nothing missing or subbed. This means I won't have to go to the big Mr T on Thursday.
Hoping to be able to fit a treadmill run in after work, it all depends on how long the windows people are here. Cleaning will be hoovering and putting the curtains etc back. Tonight's dinner is rice stuffed peppers and veg. Doing Mr SA Dijon Pork from the PON book. He's a nightmare to cook for and suspicious of anything slightly different so we shall see what he thinks. If it was left to him he'd just eat variations on beef every day.

Good luck with the windows. We once had a whole house done in 2 days in February in snow and high winds. It was worth it as the price was close to half the amount we'd been quoted for the same package but fitted in Summer. The fitters were good though and always made sure one room was kept intact for me to hole up in with a heater and kettle.8

Fingers crossed the window fitters make it today and that Mr SA behaves himself for your meeting
If Mr SA doesn't like his pork I will have it. That sounds lovely.5 -
The windows people are here. They’re doing the front bays today and the door tomorrow. Apparently we’ve got some roofers coming round today too, something Mr SA and the next door neighbour organised. We’ve got a few loose tiles need replacing. Then what with Mr M coming at 10, it’s going to be busy. We’re holed up in the back of the house with the door firmly closed and the heater on. I’ve also got my dressing gown on over my clothes 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

The windows are in and look fabulous. They’re coming back tomorrow to replace the door. We kept the dining room door shut all day and had a little heater on so it was quite cosy, I certainly wasn’t cold. How Mr SA can just sit there all day staring into space I don’t know, although he did nod off a few times. The curtains are back up, it seems a shame to put old curtains back up but no point getting new ones until the plastering and painting has been done. The house is warming up surprisingly well. The dog has had to make do with playing in the garden with her ball today. The pavements here are like sheet ice, I’m not risking it, even the dog skidded. She’s been really good all day, not barking at the workmen or anything. The cat has been a pain though, forever wanting to go through the closed door.
I think the next job will be to get an electrician out to take the light fittings out in the living room and bedroom ceilings and replace them with just a normal light bulb fitting. Then I can get the plasterer out. It’s never ending.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10
